We were with DirecTV for a long time until about 6 months ago (got convinced to bundle our phone plans with UVerse). Never had any problems with DirecTV and will, in fact, switch back when we move next month.

Wife just texted me that we are the proud owner of four new tires. I had no idea we even needed them. She tells me that her "tire light" had been on, but she just thought it was because one was low. Said all four were bald. She spent $400 on tires without even a mention to me first. FML.

I hated the cable company so much I actually paid for the dish and boxes about 15 years ago. Of course that's all free today. I've been very happy with DirecTV.

Any of you guys following the trails and tribulations of the new WVA head coach, Dana Holgorsen? This guy makes Gadzooks look like Crosseyed. Check this out...

Multiple sources told the Charleston Daily Mail Holgorsen was removed from Mardi Gras Casino & Resort after 3 a.m. May 18. Holgorsen had been at a Mountaineer Athletic Club function earlier in the day in Logan before spending the evening at the casino with other university representatives.Holgorsen's behavior allegedly reached a point that necessitated involvement from on-site security, sources said. Holgorsen was escorted out of the casino with the episode caught on surveillance. University representatives who were with Holgorsen were said to have then intervened. No arrest was made.

Rumors are this was his 6th alcohol related problem. There are some sources reporting that the guy has been banned from the hotel bar where he has been living (btw, love the living in a hotel shtick...that's what i'd do were i a rich coach). We need to set up this guy with an invite to GMTAN on facebook.

The only place I would recommend in Beaverton would be Decarli, which actually has a great happy hour, tremendous beers on tap and a great wine selection and tremendous service. Check out there happy hour schedule as they have one on both Saturday and Sunday. Wife and I really like it there. Other than that, I would concentrate on finding a happy hour somewhere downtown or in the northwest area of town. If you have access to a car, there's also some tremendous places on the east side of town.Beaverton and Tigard are suburbs and pretty bland and boring compared to the rest of the city. I'll be back with more ideas...
