GM's thread about nothing (32 Viewers)

So, can anyone jump in here? I've been occasionally taking a read but haven't posted in this thread yet. Don't know if I'll ever share some of the things I'd like to get advice/thoughts on, but wanted to check and see what sort of street cred is needed. Should I post my rosters in my sig or something?
Like needing 3 family members to help you screw in a light bulb?
Keep it up and I'll take my inflatable dart board and go home.
Welcome, StoshIf you search back through the thread, someone posted the recipe for ice. Very helpful for us.

My wife just got a job, which means our 13-year-old son is suddenly going to be home by himself for a lot of weekdays this summer. So I just loaded up the Netflix queue with some essential films he's never seen:

True Romance

48 Hours

Trading Places

Beverly Hills Cop

Die Hard

Fletch

Trading Places

Vacation

Dirty Dozen

RoboCop

Naked Gun

Back to School

Now I wish I could sit around the house all summer and watch these with him.

Fitting in already.
He is a quick learner and gives hope to those of us more likely to be riding in a shorter bus.

Now I have two job offers. They aren't going to get into a bidding war, so I have to evaluate them as they stand. May be a long night.

Great. With this guy AND Rudnicki in here we're going to have to explain every joke at least twice.

I was apparently bitten by a spider on the back of my knee. It's gotten progressively bigger as the day has gone on, and is about the size of a silver dollar at this point. It's also really, really hard. I'm convinced that there are eggs in there.
Oh, jesus christ....whatever you do, avoid the doctor and post about it on a message board.I'd have severed the leg by now.

So I guess you passed on the Nashville offer or you told them you needed more time?
It's a Nashville-based company, the job is here in Austin. I accepted their offer to give the other place time to make an offer. Tomorrow morning I'm going to turn one of them down.

I'm 75% polish and I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't get what was going on with the "how many family members it takes to change a light bulb." I thought Polish Hammer must have posted a story or something in another thread I didn't read. Yep.

pick the one with the hotter office chicks
:moneybags:Also, scout out the toilets first.
Ask yourself "Which one of these jobs will make me want to blow my brains out less?" and choose accordingly.
This is all excellent advice, and all point at the same job. It is the longer commute, and pays 3% less.

What happened?
In rough chronological order, Samuel LB said something funny, got a timeout, started drinking, started writing an angry letter, started getting misty eyed, then started writing more seriouslyer, then Krista fell in kind of love, although it may have something to do with him using the word "krippling".
Pretty sure Krista fell in love with me well before
:goodposting: That's a really screwed up chronology right there.

Will you be close to the O'Fallon brewery??
This house is. It's a little too far out for me. I went by 3 houses today I've found online, the west side of the Missouri river is screwed up. The only way to get to this housewas by going through a really trashy neighborhood. Gutters, windows, shingles etc. were missing, just a mess. Just down the street, the same street, are these 2 monsters. I know a lack of perspective makes it a little hard to judge how big they are but the smaller of the 2 is at least 3X as big as the house I was looking at. The bigger one is the biggest house I've ever seen in my life. It looks like a freaking hotel. The cool thing though is it has a giant metal gate with a "B" on it that opens to the courtyard. Maybe one day....
I've been having some issues the last 4-5 weeks and finally made an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow. Wet Dream, I'll be thinking of you.
I'm here for you brother. PM, email or sext me if you have any questions or need support.wetdream_67@gmail.com
 Wait, that's not right, how about :thanks: ?

I went to a doctor one day because I had a tick on me.

Magnum condoms...are they more for girth or length? Both? Shouldn't it be like pant sizes.....34x30 or whatever?
Girth. I used to be in the biz.
:takesnotes:Do they ALL come with spermacide or is that a pretty lousy conclusion on my part based on hope?
No. I'm not in the biz, but I am a valued customer.
uh oh.
I have a heckuva joke here, but I'm not sure it would be a good idea to post it on this message board.

A Mexican family moved in a few houses down the street from me several years ago. They put the previous Italian owners to shame by adding more little statues, colorful silk flowers and what not. It doesn't bother me at all and I'm all for decorating your house any way you wish but it definitely sticks out. So today, after YSR & E10 made fun of me for being fat, I extended my walk an extra half mile and I came across this house. It looked a lot like my neighbors house although not quite as extravagant. Then I noticed the landscaping. That looks a lot like when I tried to put those fruit blocks in at my old house.

I'll get a shot of my neighbors house tomorrow if it isn't raining.

Sure there are some stereotypes here but that is what bugs me. So the question is, Mexican or not Mexican?
I finally saw these people this morning. The correct answer is:

Chinese
