I'd love to ask "HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN" vis a vis Cal, but....My oldest asked his mom for permission to use her card to play some game on his iTouch. She said 'yes', thinking he was going to buy a 99 cent app or some such and considering how responsible he is, she didn't think anything of it. Turns out he got a little carried away and 'bought' $160 worth of elves or dwarves or gnomes or something. His mother was pissed off, but when she asked me about it, I said "and that's why you don't buy a 7 year old boy an iTouch"

Apparently, this isn't isolated. My co-worker's son ran up a $400 credit card bill using apple's apps. There needs to be better protection out there, right? I mean, my protection is not to let them have my credit card or devices that will abuse my credit cards. That's worked fine. But these games designed for kids...seems too easy for them to screw up.
