ketchup prevents cancer.

Ketchup has health benefits which are offset by the salt and sugar content[13]. Ketchup is a source of lycopene, an antioxidant which may help prevent some forms of cancer. This is particularly true of the organic brands of ketchup, which have three times as much lycopene.[14] Ketchup, much like marinara sauce and other cooked tomato foods, yields higher levels of lycopene per serving because cooking makes lycopene in tomatoes more bio-available.

french toast is basically eggs and milk on bread with some sweetener added in. it's like 3 of the 4 food groups.
What do you mean 'some sweetner'? I always see it with powder sugar draped all over it with some adding syrup. How is that 'some'?some?
you can put as much syrup or whatever on as you like. if you only want a little, who is forcing you to drown it?

AND FRUIT!!!

BTW, I'd rather drink what's in YSR's pool ( ) than ever eat Mayo again. It's literally the worst condiment ever.
I went the first 25 years of my life before having mayo. Growing up in NY, I received tons of strange looks and responses when ordering sandwiches without mayo. They'd look at me like my head was on cockeyed and say "Dry????" I was like, uh, yeah. But I decided to give it a try and can deal with it in very small doses.

I eat low or non-fat yogurt with blueberries/strawberries and almonds/granola almost every day. I don't think that's very 'manly' at all. I enjoy the sweetness of the berries because they aren't sickening sweet like syrup or powder sugar.
here's a tip: you can eat pancakes or waffles or french toast without any syrup or powdered sugar. you can put the same exact fruits you eat in your yogurt on them and they'll probably taste delicious.

How am I supposed to do that at work?

I assumed that pancakes are a weekend thing for most.

I've never had ketchup in my life.
Oh stop it.
not sure why you'd think I'd lie about this, but 100% truth. I don't eat hamburgers either
My oldest son has tried ketchup but doesn't care for it. I don't even remember him ever asking for it. He went through a Ranch Dressin phase, but that ended years ago. He likes a little mayo on his sandwich, but he might very well live the rest of his life without eating ketchup. He just doesn't like it.He will eat tomatoes plain, however and enjoys tomato soup. :shrug:I'm not much for mayo, but I enjoy the tangy zip of Miracle Whip.

IMO, French Toast has no nutritional value and am comparing it to Cookie Crisp because, without looking at a box (Shuke, please confirm), I am making an assumption that a cereal based off of cookies is nothing but pure sugar and empty calories - a la French Toast.
??? French toast is eggs, milk, bread, and butter (and maybe cinnamon). Basically no different then scrambled eggs with a side of buttered toast. Now adding syrup may not be healthy, but it doesn't diminish the nutrition of the other comoponents.

I eat breakfast at my desk, hence my 'almost every day' remark above. On weekends (when we aren't camping or rushing off to sports with the boys), my wife makes roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs with Tilamook White Sharp Cheedar Reserve, toast and I make bacon or sausage. If we're in a hurry, she makes a delightful 'Egg Sando' with a fried egg and the same cheese on an English Muffin. It is heaven. She also makes the boys crepes from time to time, but I don't eat those very often. The boys devour them and will eat them with powder sugar and strawberries.

You are IMPLYING that Cookie Crisp is a children's cereal. I never said it was. Strictly speaking, you implied it, he inferred it. :coffee:

I can't stand the smell or slimyness of mayo, but I do actually like the taste in small doses, especially on a chicken sandwich. So I use the spread and scrape method to leave the thinnest layer possible - just enough to moisten the bread.

pancakes are like a once/month thing. not a regular part of the breakfast rotation for me anyway.

used to always have them on christmas morning or during weekends with extended family. very easy meal to prepare for larger groups.

I'm actually not a big pancake fan. Waffles/french toast are better.

Thank you. This is my preferred mode of eating waffles and panqueques. I'm a syrup minimalist.

Not a fan of mayo, but love Miracle Whip. And overall, I'm a condiment whore. If you can dip something into a sauce, I'm there.

Once thought about doing a poll asking "If you could only use one condiment for the rest of your life, what would it be?"

I think mine would be BBQ sauce.

Mustard here. There's just so many KINDS of mustard. I probably have 3 types of mustards in my fridge at home right now.

I don't get this "I'm too much of a grown man to eat pancakes, waffles, or french toast" shtick.
Not sure I ever said I was a grown man and have ample evidence out there to prove otherwise. I just don't crave sweet stuff much anymore, especially not for breakfast.
Not a dessert guy, eh?
Scotch or port is my dessert if we're out at a nice place. I never eat dessert at home and on occasion will split one with my wife at a restaurant. I like cheese cake, but don't crave it. I like some Ice Cream, but don't eat it very often, maybe 2-3 times a year. I don't like cobblers. I do like apple pie with some vanilla bean ice cream, but don't eat it very often. Bread pudding is okay. Key Lime pie is alright. Banna Pudding with Nilla Wafers is tasty. I just don't order them or buy them for home. I'm fat enough. I don't need help.
What about Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies?

How many kinds does Rite-Aid sell?

Probably violates "stays here", but there's a guy at LABS that claims he never had rice until he was in college. I will protect his anonymity.
I don't ever remember having rice before I got to college either. But that is its own boring story, not to be related in this fine thread.
Welcome to the Ladies Auxillary Badminton Society.
We've already got a non-rice-eater. I'm intrigued by this non-ketchup-eater guy, though.

Just this weekend I had to explain to a friend how I'd never had Kraft Mac & Cheese before college. Growing up in an Italian home, mom always had homemade manicotti, lasagna, or at least spaghetti around. And good marinara sauce. It would have killed her to serve Mac & Cheese out of a box. I can't even stand the thought of cheddar cheese and pasta together... give me a good marinara with parmesan any day.

If I had a vending machine in my house, I would probably enjoy these after a nice meal, I suppose.

They for fact have French's Yellow as well as their own Rite Aid brand of Yellow. They also sell Dijon in both their brand and Grey Poupon. They have excellent deals on mustard.
