GM's thread about nothing (41 Viewers)

But for the record, this really proves that I am one SPECTACULAR f***ing bartender. Seriously.
People can mix coffee while they're driving. I'm just sayingI'm as big (if not bigger) an alkie as you, but damn the driving posts are pretty freaking scary and 100% not good.
I agree. On Monday night, I shouldn't have been allowed to even look at a car, let alone drive one. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. But today's escapades...think of it like a normal guy having a few beers at happy hour and then driving home. No big deal, happens every day. I just managed to hold that pose for nine hours.
How long before the post where you're hiding out from the police because you hit something last night driving drunk and you're hoping it's not a kid. :thumbdown:You're better than this Peej, smarten up.

I don't mind moops. Kinda weird sometimes but we all are. Hell I just posted a pic of me in zubaz.

So I guess I'm supposed to get my future wife a present for the wedding day? WTF? Haven't weHasn't she spent enough already? I really wish someone would have told me this a while ago. Luckily I have some time to shop. I'm thinking a necklace or a bracelet? Or a CRing or a handle of Captain Morgan? Is it supposed to be something that she opens right before the ceremony? Can I "give it to her" that night?
Wedding day present for the wife?First I've heard of this.

May be why my last 25 years have been hell.
Hmm...is it too late for me if I'm already 8 yrs in?
to kill yourself? not at all.

Just got back from taking my daughter whale watching. Been promising to take her for 2 years. It's a 2.5 hour drive each way, stay at a hotel and a five hour boat ride. I was sort of dreading it, but it was actually one of the coolest things I've ever done. Beautiful place, and watched orcas in the wild for about an hour.

take my wife next timeTIA

truck - hi. big fan. About to watch the first episode of Childrens Hospital with the wife. If she likes it we'll probably finish out and have it to you in a few weeks. If she doesn't like it I'll send it out in a couple of days because even if I like it I have very little time to watch things I actually want to watch and with the time I do have I'll probably watch crappy Minnesota sports teams and I'd rather send it to someone who will like it than have it sit there staring at me while I root for gay Joe Mauer.

No, waiter, your staring at me while I order my meal and "memorizing" our order does not fill me with admiration for you and confidence in the preciseness of the meal. It fills me with all sorts of anxiety-ridden angst that my $10 hamburger is going to arrive with both mayo AND onions attached even though I emphasized I wanted zero molecules of either anywhere near it. In fact, when the mayo and onions are both present, it makes me want to find one of those light-green waiter-order-pad thingies and cram it down your overfriendly, no-short-term-memory gullet. Love, facAlso: does anyone here know how to get rid of rockchucks without shooting them? I tried to sneak up on him all Native American In The Forest like (if the Native American used a pellet gun), but apparently I sounded like a herd of wildebeests stampeding the Serengeti...that sucker was back under the deck before I was within 25 yards. :bag:
Yea, this #### is on the top 10 things that piss me off. OH ####ING IMPRESSIVE YOU'RE NOT WRITING IT DOWN.But who in the mother #### doesn't eat onions on their hamburger?

I have to admit, up until a month ago or so I thought Fin was 100% shtick. Now I kind of feel bad about about being skeptical.

Maybe it's the fact that his life experiences are nothing like mine. Getting stabbed at an AA meeting? I've got nothing on par with that.

However, I call total bull#### on these statements that all his posts are genuine. Plenty of fin posts are shtick, and it's some of the best on the board. One of my all time favorites is when he went into one of the BBQ threads, which are pretty serious business around here, and said he had just grilled some hot dogs after marinating them overnight in root beer. :lmao: Love stuff like that.

The little finger on my right hand has been tingling like it fell asleep for about a day and a half. Is it gonna fall off?
Ulnar nerve impingement in cubital tunnel.
Good call, Shuke
Who did your cubital tunnel surgery? What did you have done?
Orthopedic hand guy here in St. Louis. Had it done along with removal of the cyst/carpal tunnel release in the wrist a little over 2 weeks ago. Turns out the cyst was likely giving me more problems since I started with weakness all of a sudden. I never had the tingling (except at night which I didn't recognize). When I couldn't bring my pinkie finger in any more, I knew something wasn't right. Hasn't been fun.

You can't give me a name? What procedure did he do for your cubital tunnel?

I don't, but that's because I like the flavor of hamburgers. Poll created.

Tangiers.................it happened.

last time i went to a dinner where the waiter "memorized" our orders (4) he brought my wife the wrong dish entirely. Whoever invented this method was a dbag.as for the chucks, you need to either tame them by feeding them, then kill them since you'll be able to get to close range. Or you need to poison them. They have eagle eye vision and if you're wanting to ever actually hunt them its hard to get much closer thant say 75 yards before the sound the alarm and go in their burrows. The farm and garden store is your friend on the poison. I doubt a pellet gun would kill a chuck, at least not in one shot. You'd probably have to pump him about 30 times to finally get the kill shot.

Frosty> Thanks GB. CH is a great show, but it's absurd and it's really all about the jokes. Not much in the way of character development, or plot, it's just kind of nutty. My broad doesn't like it, but she doesn't like Archer either, so what does she know.

Women are pretty dumb.

My family is pissing me off. Everyone except my sister's girlfriend was in bed at 10:30. And she bailed before 11:30.

Sitting alone by the pool listening to tunes and drinking beers, which is honestly pretty cool. But after an entire day of my nephews following me around incessantly, I'd enjoy some adult conversation.

So Whattaya got for me, gmtan?

Not hipster, Dbag! But no. Scanned through the dial and got bupkus...but I did discover that NYC has 47 spanished language stations. What the hell's up with that?

Sounds like California.

Finished season 1 (the web episodes that are 5 minutes each). Wife has laughed pretty consistently throughout but I think she feels bad about it. I don't. ####'s funny as hell. Decent chance we finish it off tonight, which means you'll probably get it within a month or two.

I would've expected it in California.

Acquired some venison sticks tonight. Should I assume, based on the reaction of this thread to Kitten Ball and Meat RAffles, that you have no idea what I'm talking about?

I also rolled in a hooking 12 foot birdie on the 18th at Morro Bay to shoot an 84 and beat my golf bum nephew by one stroke. He bogeyed the hole.
Where are you staying? I've played Morro Bay a few times. Love that course. Got pretty shirtfaced there too.
Cambria. Moonstone Beach. We rented a house and a few rooms all within a short walk of each other. A nephew got married there five summers ago, and we've made it a tradition ever since. Morro is on a spectacular piece of land that could have a world class course on it, but it's county maintained and probably designed for simplicity, so it has a muni feel to it. It's straightforward with sticky summer greens and easy enough a hacker like me to shoot lower than bogey golf, so that's always sort of welcome.

It's good to be home. I usually despise the Mojave in summer. Obviously menopause isn't an exciting topic here and I'm probably a generation or more ahead of the gmtan demographic, but guys... married guys... haha ... it's a comin' and it's a not a very nice. I have no idea if I will ever remarry. I'm not as adorable as GM, so one blown shot at it may be all I get, but at 49 staring down the big five oh, I am pretty damned glad to be single if that means not being married through a change of life. Two of my four sisters are married. Their husbands stared at the ocean a lot. I would not blame them for drinking and driving... responsibly as described in this thread.

Cambria is sweet. We used to rent condos down in Cayucos for big family reunion deals. There's a little more for the kids to do there. I haven't played Morro in years but I remembered I kinda liked the muni feel to it. Nobody looking down at their nose at you if you pissed in the rough.

I never piss more than four feet from the cart. But it's usually in the rough, so I think we're on the same page.

That was an errant reply to Tanner btw.

I'm drunk again.
