GM's thread about nothing (40 Viewers)

Came in to work at noon hungover as hell. needed a little hair o' the dog and cracked a beer around 12:30. The pseudo-hottie stopped in and I was doing shots w her at 1. Needless to say, I'm shmammered. I really really love my job. :banned:
My first thought was 'dang I wish Homer worked in my town because I would stop by his bar at lunch for drinks.' My second thought was 'if Homer worked in my town I'd be dead now.'

We could have a dual funeral, GB.

If you challenged THorn to a dual, I doubt it would result in anyone's funeral (except maybe some innocent bystanders).

You know the ratio of geeks is high in your office when you go into the kitchen and there's an enormous bug on the wall and instead of being squashed, someone has taped up a sign below it that says, "Hi! I'm a Crane Fly" along with an article about it.

I started the Couch to 5k program this afternoon. I've always wanted to learn to run and learn to love to run, but I get so bored. This seems to be a really cool and completely doable program (thus far, on day one) for people who hate to run.

Good luck YSR. When do you plan to race in a 5k event?

Oh Yes! completely freaking me out, having narrowed his boy names down to my main two family names, Wyatt and Knox. My grandfather was K.W., my uncle is Alexander K. W. and my first cousin is K.W. (friends on the facespace can confirm this)

These are not common names. I feel like I'm being messed with. Or, I'm meant to be with Oh Yes!, which is going to make my husband feel weird.

Really sorry to hear what you're going through with your sister GM. I wish you, her, and everyone else in her life the best of luck.

I like woz. He tries so hard and never gives up despite the waves of failure that life throws at him. He never quite gets 'it' but it never stops him from trying oh so hard. And it seems he honestly means well. He just had the ability to screw up even the simplest of events.

Serious question: Is Woz the worst person alive? And I don't mean "worst" in the Hitler sense, but worst in terms of...I don't know. Anyway, you read this post and figure it out. This guy is bizarre.

Preaching to the choir here. Even when he does stuff right, it's wrong.
:lmao: That's perfect. Even when he's :e:lsewhere talking about his bedroom exploits (something that I would normally enjoy reading about) I feel like throwing up a little.
:drive:

Is this something one would need to buy or is there some sort of free version? Sounds perfect for me.

www.c25k.comThere is a $2.99 app that I bought, though. It allows me to play my music on my iPhone while this runs in the background, and gives me cues for when to switch from running to walking, when I have reached 1/2 way point, etc.

Stick with it. Started with this in March - now running 16 miles a week and training for a 10K in October. So anyway, it works. Good luck.

   I did that half in June and have gotten SO lazy this past month. :pig:I have to sign back up for boot camp and another half so I can get my lardbutt in gear.On a fun note, I think I mentioned signing up for an "all girls" half marathon in May (Hippie Chicks Half). I'm not facebook buds with that race organizer after meeting her in June and now she taunts me by inviting me to ALL women oriented runs. I think I might take her up on the offer and try to break their little code. Don't I sort of have an obligation to do this? For mens rights? Or shtick?

Sorry we've been on page one for 18 months where you obviously couldn't read us. We would have welcomed you here like you've been welcom:e:d elsewhere. Hi, I guess. Why do you think Truck hates you?

Also, you're 99% shtick, right?

Yeah but we still let Furley and Shuke post in here.

I really wish I could run. I think it would be awesome to run in the morning before the sun bakes the pavement. So far, I've been going to the gym about 4 times a week, and I run on the treadmill. But when I try running outside, it feels like I've been transported to a planet with a greater gravitational pull.

Feel free to join us in the Ran a 10K thread sometime if you ever find the time. There's some pretty experienced runner's in there who do some amazing ####. Lots of good info, advice, tips, etc. You do have an obligation to do the race. Memorize the race numbers for the hottest chicks and post them so we can find the results on the interwebs and ogle their facebook pictures

Got a guy in the running thread (prosopis) who runs in 100 degree heat for a good 10 miles at a time. No idea how, but it's amazing. Anything over 75 degrees and I hit a wall after 3 miles. You aren't alone. I can't bring myself to run on a treadmill though - it does half the work for you. It's a whole new world on the pavement.

See, but I wouldn't say hate. Woz means well. He doesn't strangle animals or do anything that's really morally reprehensible. But, Woz, you love attention. You love being discussed when, in reality, you aren't that interesting. And I'm not that interesting either, but I don't start threads about my minor vices. So you started posting in this thread because you did a search for your name, right? GM is correct, this thread's been out in plain sight for a year and a half, pretty much the opposite of a clique.

Pretty sure that's the same guy who once claimed to see a guy with stigmata. So, you know . Watch yourself.

Shamwow and Truck, your packages are thisclose to be almost ready to prepare to mail.
i want a package. i managed to get 2 user names removed from your enemies list. thats gotta count for something.
Give it time. Wounds still not all the way healed.
youre on this ice
I don't know what this means
i meant thin ice, then i was gonna try to think of something like "oh yeah well i had some ice in my drink and i drank it, i drank you up." then i was all like, that was kinda gay. and i was right. so carry on.

Woz drives me bonkers and I could never verbalize why. Thank you good bud - this is spot on.

The thread that makes me laugh to this day was Woz soliciting FFA advice about how to defend a DUI case. :lmao: Who, errr, what lawyer, in their right mind would ever think that was a good idea?

Then once in a while he posts something constructive or helpful in a thread and I warm back up to him.

It was black ice, so you couldn't see it.
