Oddly enough the other day I had to make about a 25 minute drive across town and the whole time I had this running monologue in my head about why I think superhero movies suck. It's really quite brilliant. Probably too long for me to want to type out, however.

I was actually looking forward to renting that one day...is it getting horrible reviews?

I'd read that with great eagerness and anticipation but think the vast majority of posters on this website would absolutely cream their shorts if Holywood came out with a movie for "Apache Chief" and would resent your critical monologue.

In case anyone cares, this is how I get passes to movies: www.gofobo.com. Click on Myfobo to create an account and they will email you invitations to this stuff. Great for DINKS, probably not for others.

I get an email on Sunday or Monday about a pre-screening happening on Tuesday. Accept the passes and print them out and you're golden. Only problem is that seating is first come, first serve, so you need to get there 30 minutes beforehand. Not a big deal if you have a smartphone and, say, play Words With Friends (Homer> hey).

Soccer team lost 3-1 on Saturday. We had numerous opportunities to score, but they just couldn't fire the ball into the net. We need to finish.

My solution? I'm going to the Dollar Store right now and I'm buying water balloons and duct tape. I'm going to tape the water balloons all over my body and sit in the middle of our goal box at practice. I want our boys to literally blow me up tonight.

Also hoping they sell nut cups at the Dollar Store.

There's always Rite Aid.

And after i spent about 10 minutes combing the cesspool that is the Dollar Store for balloons and duct tape, I walked out with only the tape and straight into the open and welcoming arms of Rite Aid, where they had all the water balloons I could ever want. Sure, they cost a little more than what they would at the dollar store, but I had a Rite Aid employee (Sherry) walk me right to them. No line, neither.

Anyhow, I rushed home, filled up as many balloons as I could, threw them in a cooler and let the kids absolutely annihilate me in the goal box, all the well yelling encouraging things like "BLOW ME UP! KILL THAT BALL! MUDER IT! TATTOO ME! DESTROY IT!". I think they got the idea. Hopefully, they'll relentlessly attack the goalie on Saturday like they did with me yesterday. They seemed to enjoy the drills.

Looking forward to Saturday's post about your team winning 9-0. They really only score twice but the other team forfeits after 3 goalies are knocked out with line drives to the midsection.

Also sort of encouraged a 'WAR CRY' when they wind up to kick. Seriously, I don't think my guys will win very many games this year. I have 3 kids playing 'up' and my best three players from last year are all playing football now. Starting to see why American men suck at soccer....our best talent flees the sport early.
