Right. He's 37. But I know you'll find a way to argue it.
this is the dumbest argument I've seen today. congrats.
I say black. You say white. I'm used to it.Guess what. He's not 38.
Guess what? You sound like an 8 year old.

who cares?he's 37 and just blew out his ACL a few months ago. he had to beg one of the worst teams in the league to sign him last year after playing for one of the worst teams in the league the year prior.which teams are lining up to sign this guy exactly?
Just wait. When the WR injuries start to mount - and they always do - who wouldn't want a guy like Owens?Re: his injury. He is right in the window where he figured to just about be ready:
Terrell Owens says he'll be ready to play 2 or 3 weeks into regular seasonIt seems like free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens has been way ahead of schedule in his recovery from ACL surgery since the first day we heard about it. Owens, who had the surgery performed in April, is backing off from statements by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who said Owens would be healthy in time for the start of the regular season. But according to Owens, he is still going to be ready in a remarkably quick amount of time. "Talking with the doctors, going through my personal training in L.A. and in Pensacola (Fla.), they stressed that I'm way ahead of schedule," Owens told ESPN.com
I would put it at 70/30 that he plays this season.

And if that's all in week 16, you look pretty smart.

This doesn't need it own thread so I'll just it here because most of the people I give a #### about come in here.Just got word that I got the job in Costa Rica I was posting about a few months ago and since I'm single, and still relatively young and don't own a home, I'm going to take it. Lucky for me I speak Spanish so I was hand picked for expanding the business in Latin America (always a good skill to learn if you have the time) and I'll get a nice promotion and raise. Going to be a long process to get working papers or citizenship but my company is helping me through it. Anyway - that's a good time to retire from the internet: :e:, hoof, etc.I'm thinking I could get in touch with most of you through Fin if he didn't die and if I'm ever back in the states again for a cornhole (Vegas maybe?).Give my best to the following if you see them (these are the guys who have helped me out with something at one point or another or just generally make me laugh): Ahrn, Truck, GM, redman, Anonymous Bob (I still don't know his FBG handle), RaiderNation, Stu, cosjobs, Saints-Man, jplvr, Sonny Lubick, Tanner, BostonFred, Oat, PIK95, and whomever else I missed. If you see LSUCK around - let him know I hope nothing but bad things happen to him and anyone he knows for as long as he may live and I'm not giving him back the fur coat I bought made out of his mother's pubic hair.I leave you with this inspirational quote from Studs: "whenevr you are confronted with a opponents, conquer it with love and slam it in a hoop with both you hands." -- jeff van gahndi:wave:
Take me with you!

Went to my son's 3rd grade open house tonight. There was a poster on the wall where all the kids answered the question "what will you be doing in 20 years". He wrote "I will be a fat guy with a moustache eating all day". GB setting achievable goals.

GM>Just noticed the deck of cards in that shot. Teaching yourself card-counting for the Vegas cornhole?

Speaking as someone who has participated in this kind of cat-herding, you need time and persistence. So someone has to mention the Vegas cornhole on every page of this mutha.

I taught my Indian pal Vipul how to play Texas Hold 'em a few months ago and now we play every day in a very loosey-goosey version of Texas Hold 'Em we call "Indian Frush" for some reason. He owes me $154. We're supposed to settle up on Dec. 31, but I'm thinking Obama has a better chance of a second term than I do of ever seeing that money. And who wouldn't want to work in a college dorm, Tiger? Office settings are soooooooo over rated.

Tiger was just upset there was no Pearl Jam poster on the wall.

I'm usually not one to get too serious here but I'm pretty devistated right now.About a year ago my sister's husband, Bret, was diagnosed with having a tumor in his esophagus. The original plan was to shrink it with radiation...chemo...yadda yadda. Everything looked good after however many rounds and the tumor shrunk. About 6 months ago he was getting ready to go down to L.A. for surgery when they did another scan and found something on his liver. Surgery was put off for more treatments etc etc.The last 3 months or so have been brutal. Bret went from being a 6ft 200lb healthy looking guy in his early 50s to ashen and skinny. My mom just called me. She was over at my sister's house today and she took my mom aside to talk. Bret and my sister decided to end all treatments. As Bret put it "it's pointless now". I've known Bret for probably 30 years. I don't consider him my brother-in-law as much as my 3rd brother. I knew things weren't going well as far as his treatment but I didn't think it would come down to this this fast. I'm going to have some (dozens) drinks and fumble around and #### up this Survivor draft like I always do. Thanks for letting me vent.
Bret passed tonight. Got a call from my mom at about 7:30. He went peacefully at home. The wife and I came over right away. There were already at least 20 people there. After hugging my sister and my nephews (he left behind two sons, 19 and 22) there was a lot of standing around. After about 1/2 my wife and I volunteered to go to the store for food etc. We grabbed some deli stuff and snacks. I also grabbed a 12 pack of Bud Light...Bret's beer of choice. We were only gone 20 minutes and when we came back there were now close to 40 people at the house. It seems fairly morbid but since it was only about an hour and 1/2 since he had passed Bret was still there...lying in state. Everybody grabbed a beer. His best buddy since HS, Tony, called us all together and gave one last toast. "Bret...he was a great son, a great husband, and a great father...and an even better friend." That's 100% true. Oh, and at the end of Tony's toast I added "GO BEARS" which was totally appropriate.I took my sons and ran to 7-11 for another 3 cases of beer and some ice. For the rest of the night we all stood around and tossed them back. His house was always the "party house". 4th of July, Memorial Day, Super Bowl, New Years, the first of the month, a day that ends in "Y"...there was always a house full of friends and drinks and pool and horseshoes and stories. He would have been pissed if we had all stood around with our hands in our pockets.I spent most of the night drinking beer with his 3 best buddies out on the front lawn. Guys he's known since HS (he moved to Calif from Illinois his freshman year). Every story either ended with a laugh or "yeah, that sounds like him"...usually both. I honestly have never met a guy like him. Salt of the earth. Worked his ### off. Day-in, day-out as a supervisor in the oilfields. He was the kind of guy that you wanted on your side if you were ever in a fight and next to you if you needed a friend. One of the things that I probably said 4 or 5 times tonight was "I never knew anybody that didn't like him". That wasn't bull ####. He could make friends at a monster truck rally or a Streisand concert. His door was always open and his kegerator was always charged and cold.I need to head to bed soon. I'm not a T&P kind of guy. Neither was Bret. But if you feel the need silently toast him sometime this weekend. If you want to pay tribute to him help out the next guy you see pushing his brokedown car on the side of the road. The next time your at a bar and you see a guy who looks a little down buy him a beer AND start a conversation with him. If your favorite team loses a big game cuss about it for a while and then buy drinks for the guys at the bar rooting for the other team.Bret was a quasi-redneck from southern Illinois and called Bakersfield his home but the best way to describe him was "a real Mensch". Love you, bro.Oh, GO BEARS!

Oh and this totally goes against my anti-tattoo stance but I'm pretty sure I'm getting this on my gigantic bicep but with his initials.

I'm not sure you really payed enough attention to the lyrics of the song. Unless maybe you were just saying FU to Billy Joel for some other reason, like releasing "We Didn't Start the Fire."In any case, sorry to hear about your brother-in-law Tanner.

Wow...crazy stat about tonight's game:

this is the first time in the 105 year history of the MSU/LSU series that both teams are ranked.

Despite a lot of LSU fan's fears that this is a trap game, I don't see them looking past a ranked MSU team on ESPN

Too much running, too much defense...

LSU wins by at least a TD
I didn't wager much on this one, but I wouldn't mind if LSU won by a field goal instead of a TD. Also, anybody else ever been to Starkville, MS? If there is a worse college town as close to NOTHING as Starkville, MS, I'd like to hear where and why.
Apparently Starkvegas has improved alot since we were in school. I went in 98 and that place was awful. Couldn't buy cold beer, bars closed at midnight, etc. I've heard it's all changed.
last time I was there was early 90's. There were no bars, your only choices seemed to be hotel lounges. I hear it's better now.

I'd like to stick my weiner in Jenn Brown.
I agree.Since I think you went to Pasadena a couple of years too, did you happen to get a look at Wendy Nix patrolling the sidelines? She had (maybe still has) a surprisingly rock solid body. Went into Pasadena looking for Jenn Brown and wound up staring at Nix.

I cried. So sorry, Tanner.

I wish it didn't take stories like that to make me reflect on and appreciate how much my family, especially my brothers, mean to me.

:banned: to Bret

Whenever I kick the bucket, I hope all my friends/family honor me in the same way you described TB

ETA: except for the "Go Bears" part
