GM's thread about nothing (22 Viewers)

Also I just found out a couple months ago that I can't eat cheese anymore. Well, I guess if I experimented with tests and whatnot, I might be able to eat some cheese, but screw it, I can't be bothered with tests. I really don't miss it. Except pizza. I know, I'm crazy. And I have the most effed up stomach eva.

Also I'm pretty sure Velvetta is made of the same plastic goo as Twinkies. It's just put into a different Play-doh mold and branded different.

are those really two different cheeses? I always thought velveeta was just the block form of that crappy kraft stuff that comes in wrappers. :unsure:I want my cheese to bite me in the tongue and leave a calling card on the way down. Extra sharp white cheddar reserve, for examples.
Frosty's right. They're different, and Velveeta doesn't officially qualify as cheese, while the singles do. Both downright nasty, though.
i refer to them as devil cheese. horrible ####.hope all are well! i don't hardly go on fbg's anymore. let me know if any massive cornholes go down.
You want devil Cheese? I worked at a 7-11 in college and that yellowish "cheese food" they would leave out for the nachos is about as nasty as it gets.Oh, and that cheese that's been warmed up all day, you know what happens to it at closing time(yes, this 7-11 actually closed at night and used the locks on the door)? It gets saran wrapped and put in the deli cooler until lunchtime the next day when it gets reheated again.Velveeta is gross but I'd rather eat a 2-inch thick slice of that raw than the nacho cheese.

I love cheese and that love extends to Kraft singles. I won't make a grilled cheese solely with it, but take some good cheddary, maybe a little provolone and a slice or two of Kraft singles and you get a greate sharp/nutty/melty grilled cheese.

It's also a great snack on a piece of bread and popped in a toaster oven on broil until the top is browned.

Nacho cheese substance is also great. I know I've posted it here before, but my favorite stoner snack in college was a jar of "queso", a bag of chips and a pint of chocolate milk.

Is American Cheese white or yellow to you? I know they both exist, but what do you consider "normal"? I've had philly people say to me that I'm crazy for thinking American Cheese is yellow.

I would rather do it with any of you than Natalie Merchant. Not that there's anything particularly unattractive about her, but she's so bland and dull and milquetoast. I imagine her bush looks like a shrub in the dead of winter.
Yeah, she's pretty homely. I do like some of her music, though. Sorry.Actually saw 10,000 Maniacs with World Party in 1992 and enjoyed it. :bag:
I just lost a lot of respect for one of my iheros. Let's contrast GM with DP in 1992 -I saw --Rollins Band-Ministry-Red Hot Chili Peppers -Primus (f!@k you, Tanner)- Nine Inch Nails twice (NIN is still my favorite band; I would go gay for Reznor, given the right about of alcohol and fingering foreplay.)
I went to Lalapalooza II too, mang. In New Orleans. Where drinking age was 18 and acid age was who cares. I smoked a joint the size of my forearm in a mosh pit during Ministry. I was there when Gibby came out to Ding a dang dong his ding a long ling long....wahh wahh wahh wahh.....
:jawdrop: holy #### we were at the same concert

I played softball with Driving & Crying in 1991 before a concert at our school. Thoughts on them? Always felt they were under the radar, but going back and listening to them hasn't been as good as hoped.
Straight to Hell was like a college anthem for me and my friends. Still holds up.

Kevn Kinney, however, has not held up over time. Saw him live at the Windjammer in SC a few years back. Couldn't understand a word he was singing.

American cheese is white. :noracist:The only thing Kraft singles are good for are grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled burger toppings. Sure, I like other cheeses on burgers, but they always melt perfectly and are way too easy to use at a tailgate or large BBQ.

Kraft singles are good to induce vomit. that's about it. why the holy hell would you purposely use it to make a grilled cheese with so many better options? Unless you are just too lazy to slice cheese or have smoked so many cigarettes that you can't taste anymore, why would you use it? It's repulsive. Again, when it grills, it starts to look like the back of a fat woman's thighs. So gross.

What reasons would someone try and buy $10k cash worth of visa gift cards at a grocery store?
I bought $5K last xmas when I got an instant 5% rebate.I like 95 cent dollars better than the regular ones and there is seldom a sale on money.I know another guy who buys them and writes them off as "gifts" to employee/business contacts and keeps them. SO he's getting about 70 cent dollars.

He was kind of a jerk to me. Glad he sucks now.

Anyone else had a strained rotator cuff injury? What was the recovery time frame?

Did it golfing, Been 6 weeks and still feeling some pain. Have our league outing coming up and am a little gun shy to get back out there. The initial pain was very severe.

For my gambling pals....anybody else think the Rays are a play over the Yanks in both games today? Wouldn't the Yankess prefer the Rays to win the Wild Card instead of the Red Sox? To that end, couldn't they 'lay down' today in both games?

Yankees lineup in the opener looks pretty weak. No Granderson, no Teixeira. Shields is a beast.Sabathia going in the night game though.

I had something I thought was funny to respond about the New Girl Tv show that would get ignored in here, but I forgot. Not sure if that's a kickrock or confetti for me right now.

This is unrelated to the cheese talk (which I enjoy more than the music talk but less than "finger in the butt" talk)I just read the following quote in the thread about why there are fewer people in the FFA:

'GroveDiesel said:
:wolf: killed the FFA. Seriously. A bunch of good posters started posting just in those threads and nothing else. Then WW was pretty much killed off and those guys all just disappeared.

That, and the whole GM clan who decided that they were too good for the rest of the FFA and post almost exclusively in the GM thread in the FFA.

Both of those things helped kill the sense of community that pervaded the FFA. Even with all the arguing and so forth, there was a sense of community. But the self segregation really created a major problem and destroyed that sense of community.
So if someone new read that and thought, "boy I wonder what goes on in that GM thread, I better check it out" and then they go to the last page and read the first post (which GM's post about cheese above) they must be totally confused about why this thread is so popular. :lmao:

The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jessica "Jess" Day, a well-liked, bubbly woman in her late 20s who is trying to get over her surprise breakup with her model boyfriend. She eventually finds a new place to stay when she moves in with three single guys: Nick, a bartender; Schmidt, a professional and modern-day casanova; and Coach, a former athlete turned trainer. Rounding out this unlikely bunch is Jessica's street-smart model friend Cece. Together, this group of friends try to help Jess learn a lot about love, life and mostly about herself, while at the same time learn a lot about themselves
:mellow:There better be full frontal nudity in this...

I tapped the Rays in G1. My new gambling strategy is pretty simple: Watch for games where unexpected/significant lineup changes are made (usually good players being rested), and wager accordingly before first pitch/kick-off. Only works in bases and soccer, obviously. Guru_007 touted ManU yesterday after they started a stronger side than expected in a Carling Cup game, and they won handily. The New Girl is horrible. Just horrible. I realize she's cute, but so is everyone else on TV. This show is complete garbage. I watched 10 minutes.

A little from column A, and a little from column B.

If my boss were to ask me what 2 accomplishments I'm most proud of this year, it would be:

#1 Figuring out to post multiple quotes when replying here.

#2 Dropping a 99 point word on Early in Scrabble yesterday.

That was fun. You guys were pretty accurate except for the Knight Rider thing. The only Knight Rider I like is when Busta Rhymes rapped over it.
Gonna bet $100,000 -780 on Velvetta Cheese. I bet you swim in that ####.
Can't stand Velveeta and won't eat it. Ouch. You lose big money and I feel a little bit hurt.I do love Kraft singles, however, but they're better when they are NOT individually wrapped. Whatever happened to that guy anyway?
Wait, those are the same thing. they both taste terrible. they are the same taste. you lose.isn't Kraft still around? Who is that impossible to trade with guy in uber who hates nice boobs? Same guy?
kraft's in chat daily, and on the board too
This is the most baffling conversation I've seen in this thread. I feel like I'm high just reading it.
that helps

Love me some Zooey Deschanel.
:goodposting: I watched that show and kept thinking how much it sucked, but I just wanted to see more of her. She's not really sexy or anything, but there's just something about her.
She disgusts me.True story, and I realize that this is going to make me sound really weird:I have previously been a supporter of her husband's band, Death Cab for Cutie. Sadly, they've become a pretty mediocre band as of late. We Have The Facts... and Transatlanticism are great albums, but the new #### is terrible. So a few months ago, I got tix to to see them in a fairly small venue. People were asking $150 for these tickets, and I was lucky enough to get in quick and nab them. My wife had to bail at the last minute, so I went alone and sold my other ticket for less than what other people were asking, but enough to where I was basically going for free.I get there, the opening band starts, and I'm immediately miserable. Apparently they thought it'd be a great idea to get a Death Cab Jr. to open up for them, quite an ego-stroke I guess, instead of something different or interesting. They're terrible. And I can see this Zooey character up in the balcony VIP section. I don't know what it was, but just her presence there filled me with disgust. She's everything I don't like about music.I ####### walked. Grabbed an apple, got in my car, and went home. #### Death Cab, and #### her, and #### that dumb show.

And to get the full effect of the beauty of this thread it really must be read from Page 1. It's a commitment that many won't make. Sure there are lulls here and there, but it is by far the best thread the FFA has ever seen. It's not even close.

I had this meeting yesterday afternoon in the classroom for kids that are more or less a little special. Not kids that are severely disabled or anything but operating a few years behind their peers. At the meeting were 2 or 3 administrators from my school, one of our district shrinks, no less than two officials from the county social services department, and some giant dude that supervised a nearby group-home. It wasn't your run of the mill teacher meeting.

So anyway while I'm daydreaming through this meeting I look over at this one wall where their teacher has put up some of their work. Every kid filled out this "Super Hero Profile" worksheet (I think the teacher's theme this year is "Heroes").

Each sheet had a kid's name and photo on it. Then the kids filled in their superhero name, their super power, and their arch-enemy. So the kids put in things like Sharkman, The Red Cheetah, Voltage Girl etc for their names. Superpowers were things like shocking power, invisibility, flying etc. Under arch-enemy they came up with things like Dragonman, Dr. Evil, Tornado Girl etc.

Except one kid. He listed his arch-enemy as "Nate". I look down under this kid's sheet and right below him is sheet and photo for a kid named Nathan. Nathan looked like this. :lmao: Not sure why but I thought it was hilarious. I actually had to get up and grab a tissue like I was going to sneeze. For the next 20 minutes I had to force myself to not look at or even think about it.

The Yankees don't care who wins the WC. The fans care, but Girardi and company don't give a crap. Did you see last night's game? 5-0 shutout, chief.

I must apologize. Here I blamed everyone in this thread for hoarding the funny. Clearly, this has become as dull and soulless as the rest of the FFA. Carry on. :banned:
