Anyone else think Clemson fans are the weakest bunch of #####es in cfb?

Storming the field for beating a mediocre Auburn team in week 3?

Storming the field for beating a mediocre FSU team in week 4?

Frankly, I'm embarrassed for you. Dabo Swinney seems like a pretty good guy to me, and hell I'd take him in a heartbeat for that smug pos we have in Lane Kiffin, but dude needs to chill the eff out a little. Save your exuberence for maybe December, or even January

As I was watching this I was thinking back to 2000 (Nick Saban's first year at LSU). LSU stormed the filed twice: first when it beat a Tennessee team that ended up finishing 8-4 in OT and second when we beat Bama at home for the first time in like 40 years. That Bama team finished 3-8.Absolutely embarrasing to even think about that now. Crazy how far the program has come in 11 years. GB Saban

Apparently Clemson fans storm the field after losses too. Considering how little they are on television, I guess we just weren't aware as a nation.

Basically, you want to please two groups. Group 1: Fishing, hunting, hiking, sasquatch spotting, etc.Group 2: Booze, bars, titty joints, gambling, etc.If you can find a middle ground that's close to Portland, you're everyone's hero.
Is it a lady sasquatch?

I'd try to convince my wife that I should go fishing with a bunch of guys I iknow if there's room for one more.
 GM, I think I have an idea for your warehouse...
:lmao: Buying bunk beds now.

Also, Cos just called me. He wants to do this tomorrow. :lmao:

I was just tossing out June 2012, but if there's legit interest, we should do it in July, not June. June can be a little wet here. But July? Well, July is just incredible.

And there is fishing everywhere around here, so we don't have to hit Central Oregon. We can fish on the Columbia or really anywhere. Oregon is a very very very diverse state geographically. Portland is about an hour from some of the best coastlines in the country and about 45 minutes from Mt. Hood. The Columbia River offers up a Gorge that is just spectacular, offering up hikes and views like you wouldn't believe. For those who love wine, I can arrange a fabulous wine tour in the Willamette Valley. Beer tours here are very popular (I'm actually doing one today) and as the Beer Experts can attest, this state produces some of the very best beers out there. Golf? All over the place. Strip clubs? All nude, full bars, no eye-gouging on price. Want to shop for your lady because she just greenlighted a trip to hangout with internet strangers? No sales tax in Oregon...great place to buy her that piece of jewelry that you just know will keep you in great graces.

My point is, there's no shortage of things to do, but if we're gonna do it, we should have some time to plan it out. Unlike our good buddy Scupper, I don't have accomodations for all, so we'll need to figure that out, though we could priceline some hotels downtown or consider renting a giant house.

Options abound, my good iFriends.
:lmao: yeah, I figured Cos would be all over it, right now!Agreed on July. I would prefer to at least have a chance at phenomenal weather, and there's no way in hell I would leave for a weekend during the hockey playoffs.

Fishing, beer and wine tours sounds phenomenal, and as long as we are 10 months out we should all (or most) be able to swing it. Golf does sound appealing as well, but transporting golfclubs in this day and age on airlines is a royal pain in the butt. Much easier to transport fishing gear, or just renting/buying something once on site.

It really shouldn't have to be a major cost undertaking either. I'm thinking $500 bucks tops on flights, and most likely less, no matter from where in the US you fly in from. Maybe $150/night for accommodations, most likely less, beer/liquor/alternate options, no more than $250/person. Maybe $100 for fishing gear/bait?

I think a max of $1,300/person (for 3 nights), but most would be able to get by a lot cheaper than that.

'i have a little experience renting huge houses in sunriver, i've rented these two houses several times the past few years: http://lodging4vacations.com/sunriver-lodge-home/ and http://lodging4vacations.com/sunriver-luxury-lodge/

i've also rented this one many moons ago, its cool because its actually two dwellings connected by a huge deck with hot tub http://www.village-properties.com/index.php?action=sunriver_vacation_rentals.showDetails&rowid=8

i have a huge family we need a place that will cover at least 14 people and we rent for a week every summer in sunriver. its a great place like GM said and there's lots of great golf, great fishing and all the fun you could ever want. Was there aug 20-28, rental cost was $4400 with taxes and everything included. If you had 20 people splitting you're talking peanuts for lodging. your biggest expense will be airfare and spending money and you'll blow a lot of money down there but you won't care one bit late july through late august is the time to go.
Put me down as interested.ETA: I'll also offer to shuttle a limited number of people from Seattle for those that want to fly in up here.

Diet Update: Two weeks into the 10 week challenge, I'm down 11.6 pounds. Ice water is my new best friend.

Baseball Update: Son had his first game ever on Saturday. I don't know the score, but I think we won. You can only score 5 runs max in an inning, and in our last at-bat we scored 5 and left the bases loaded with one out. Only team to have an inning of maxed out runs. Coaching was easier once I realize that every team is going to suck and my kids are better than I thought we were. Not out to be competitive, just don't want to embarrass ourselves.

My son struck out his first time up, and went back to the dugout crying. Every first time player does this, we had three in that game. I encouraged, coached a bit, but knew he just needed to get it out of his system. His mom runs into the dugout to console him. I am in the process of divorcing this woman, and THAT might have been the maddest I have ever been at her.

He did finish the game 2 for 3 with a run scored, and had a blast.

You don't understand what it's like to be a fan of a mediocre team. That's fine, but don't judge us. We like to get excited too, and not all of us compete for titles every year.

Yeah, you could tell guru was getting all elitist on us when he calls the #11 and a just outside the top 25 team "mediocre".

One field storm, ok (although week three may be a teeny weeny bit premature unless you are breaking a long losing streak)back to back weeks, 3 & 4 :no:sorry

$300 ish to get from MKE to PDX.I'm sure we could get a few people to rent a car to get out to the boonies or wherever.
Was thinking two mini-vans would suffice. For MHI & III we had a designated meeting spot (bar) to congregate so we could get everybody in from the airport and then we departed for the cabin. We could do something similar. There's a Hooters by the airport. Also several strip clubs, so we could knock that out of the way early for Homer. Also some pretty normal nice bars too. And a Best Buy.

so, I'm refinancing and the best two rates I am getting are from two financial institutions I've never heard of :scared:

Anyone ever heard of CapWest mortgage?

GB Bar - It got more and more difficult for me to make the run from the bar to the airport to pick people up.

Cooper never once struck out. :bowtie: He did, however field a ball as pitcher, panic and throw the ball straight up in the air underhanded. :lmao:

I'm pro all field storms.
Dude, what is going on with your Gophers? How can they be THIS bad?
Many years of crappy recruiting. Gotta love that 40% of the team that beat them on Saturday are from MN. :dead:
Sucks, dude. They were so much fun to watch in the early/mid aughts. Seemed like every Saturday, they were the 9am game and man...could they run the ball.Hope your coach doesn't die.
