Made some crockpot chicken, eh?Anybody ever give HBO's Latin/Spanish Channel a go? I did last night for a few enough minutes. Holy moly...You guys ever catch what goes on there? Last night was some show about hookers in Uraguay. I think. I don't really know any spanish, but I think I got the word for 'hooker' and 'Uruguay' down.
Makes Real Sex and Cathouse look like Real People and Dollhouse.

Name of the show is Sexo Urbano. They go all over the Latin American countries. Uraguay is apparently a paradise for sex and oh my god were those women hot.
Of course, I am a happily married man and would only slightly recommend a trip to Uraguay for unmarried guys like Zooks, Kev and MOP.

Look at me!!! I got a free iPod charger!!!Speaking of hiding car keysSo Friday night, my wife and I went out to dinner. Got home around 9:30. Now, I have a pile of stone in my driveway for some landscaping that we've been doing so I can't pull in the garage. At the same time, my car is a POS and I rarely lock it because the remote keyless entry only works about 20% of the time, except the trunk.Neither of us left the house at all on Friday night after dinner. On Saturday morning, I went out to start packing for tailgating at the Brewer game that afternoon. When I got to my driveway, I noticed my driver side door wasn't completely shut. I though to myself "Way to go Samuel, you're a moron." I open the trunk, put in our bag chairs, lawn dice and go back to get the cooler. I went to the driver side door to shut it completely and noticed something strange.The drivers seat had been moved up completely (I always have it all the way back) and there was a pair of silver, scuffed up high heels and an iPod charger in the passenger seat. Nothing else was disturbed. My CDs were still there. The $2.83 in change I had in the console was still there. Just a pair of silver high heels and the charger.My wife thinks some drunk chick was trying to walk home, thought my car was her car and couldn't figure out how to get it started so she left. I think some drunk couple had a "session" in my back seat.I don't know what to make of it.

Inside sales for a company that sells fiber-optics to phone companies, wireless service providers, cable companies, etc. I have about 8 years of barcode/RFID/logistics/WMS sales/support experience, so while I don't have experience in this specific industry, I have a mind for nerd technology. So, it should be an okay interview.The job itself likely wouldn't be exciting. What WOULD be exciting, though, is that it would be in SC, allowing me to live there rather than 15 minutes from my in-laws in TN. I swear, nothing will motivate me more than something that provides an alternative to something I really, really don't want to do.

The person that you share a bed with on occasion has been out of the country for a little over a year and is finally coming home on a specific date.
Unbeknownst to you, the person coming home has the ability to return about a week or so earlier than he or she has been forthcoming with. Assuming the person who can return sooner actually wishes to do so (duh), which of the following would you prefer?
1. Be aware of the actual date so that you can plan (have the house ready, inform the hypothetical child, kick out the boyfriend or girlfriend, arrange airport pickup, etc…).
2. Be surprised by said hypothetical person showing up unannounced earlier than expected.
3. Something different from the above options (please show all work).

Oh, he knows. If all goes to plan (i.e. beggars can't be choosers on the job front right now and we both have pretty good prospects), he'll head to TN and get some training in this new industry and I'll live with my folks in SC and work at this new job. We'll both make some $$$ with very few expenses and see each other every weekend. Personally, I'd want to know so I could prepare. I'd want a sparkling clean house, a banner made by the hypothetical kid, favorite food prepared, clear the landing strip.. I generally hate surprises. But, I suppose I'd be excited either way, you know, hypothetically speaking, that I'd have my bunkmate back.
That's the problem with getting cute during a post, you would think that I would learn. Maybe once I get over the 300 post level I will fall more inline with expectations. Are you offering your bed? I have a "week off the books" you know

Yeah, I think I hear you. Not looking for the "look at me" option in all of this and would rather frame it around a family of three. Have not seen "Coming Home", but I did see an advertisement for it just this last week. They are looking for opportunities to grab more stories, I have zero interest...there are better folks to highlight and exploit than I. Just doing my job. A lot of the special interest stories quickly pick up the dust quantity for me, but if I have one I would dread having an audience.

I'm torn between the surprise and letting her know. Like Rose said, I would want everything perfect for your arrival (but I'm also a neat-freak). On the other hand, what a great, great surprise.
If you do opt for the surprise, have a friend there to video it. Cheesy as it sounds to suggest it, those videos always choke me up and I imagine one of your very own would do the same for you.

True and sad story...My wife was tutoring some classes while we were stationed in Japan. She mentioned the difficult time that some of the ESL folks were having understanding the material and clueless me asked her if that meant "extremely slow learner?"I have no idea what ESL is and I have no clue what rickys post meant.I'm so lost here. :whoosh:
