I cancelled soccer practice tonight because it's Halloween, but really, I think 90 minutes with twelve 7-9 year olds would be the final death of me.
I'm hoping my last second plea to stay home and hand out candy is met by a resigned affirmative from my wife. But I think I have a better shot at winning the lottery than I do of staying home tonight. Stupid block parties.

thanks man. Things had slowly eroded since we moved in together almost a year and a half ago. Wasn't a big surprise, but still disappointing because there were times when we were clicking that we're awesome. Just not enough of them

I didn't see my daughter at all this weekend because her mom's parents were in town and we have an agreement that when the grandparents come into town they get Anna 100% of the time.
Well, she's totally a daddy's girl so she misses me a ton. She wanted me to join trick or treating tonight, so I manned up and went... With my daughter, my ex wife, her parents, my now ex girlfriend and her daughter. FML
Just made it back home in time to throw some money on the game tonight and I'm now chugging apple pie moonshine

Three bags of candy from Sams Club, preparing for a huge turnout of kids (based on the number riding around this condo complex at every hour of the day). I'm not sure if the parents here still think that my drug-dealing BIL lives here, but we have had ONE trick-or-treater.

I saw the coolest thing while trick or treating tonight. A bunch of the Cornell science guys rigged a long stainless steel pipe on top of a car, pumped some type of flammable gas (perhaps kerosene) into it, and controlled the flow via an electric organ. So when they played the organ, the flames rose and fell to the melody. They were playing this thing in the middle of the street.

I think the rules are grow facial hair, take pics, and try your best to channel this nonsense into money for cancer research. i.e. as long as you have fun, make a fool of yourself, and raise some money for a good cause, it's all good. They want you to shave clean before day 1 and only grow a mustache each day; but I'm in the do whatever you will camp. I'll have a beard until next Monday at which time I'll shave down to just a stache and try and keep it stache only (basically) from there on out.
