GM's thread about nothing (32 Viewers)

One other thing we found out from Cal's meeting yesterday. They tried to secretly record him via web cam on three separate occasion and he busted them immediately every time. The first time the IEP gal tried to tell him she wasn't recording him to which he responded "why are you lying to me?" Game, set, match.THAT'S.MY.BOY So proud.
Hi-five to Cal. But, um, why the hell would the school do this?
I will NOT make a Penn State joke here. I just won't.

What's the protocol when are you traveling and sharing a hotel room with a co-worker?

Do you share the bar of soap with them?

Are you responsible for removing any pubes or hair from the soap when you are finished??

Split the towels to wipe with or it could get weird.

Find a job that's not so cheap that they make adults share a room on a trip.

I have two passes to an advanced screening of Jack and Jill tonight. I was planning on using those to get past the ticket guy, then ducking into a movie I actually care to see.

However, my options are these:

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas 3D

Footloose

Immortals 3D

In Time

Paranormal Activity 3

#### in Boots

#### in Boots 3D

The Rum Diary

Tower Heist

I should probably just stay home and watch CFB, no?

I've actually heard good things about Vag in Boots. And this isn't just "cat guy" shtick.

I've never had to share a room with a co-worker on dozens or maybe even hundreds of business trips.

The Harold and Kumar one could be funny. I didn't like PA3. Footloose was okay...definitely a chick flick, but it was funnier than I expected and Julianne Hough...JFC.

I've been giving my liver a break. I've got a big drinking weekend coming up in Minny, with a Tre cornhole mixed in. :banned:
:bowtie:Giving it a break isn't the right move. You have to drink every night to prepare. Like those professional eaters that stretch out their stomachs. That's why I'll be at the bar all night tonight. Birthday Frosty is welcome to stop by if he's sick of sitting on the couch. Or better yet, come out Friday night and we can show Matt's friends how to consume alcohol.

Consider your self lucky. I've always shared a room while traveling, but my company is extremely cheap. :kicksrock:

Yeah, that's ridiculous.

Gotta love the details of the latest John Daly meltdown

Daly's fuse was lit when he had a double bogey on the par-three ninth. He then drove into a greenside bunker on the 10th but hit the wrong ball from the sand and received a two-stroke penalty. He three-putted for a triple-bogey seven and was seeing red by the time he walked to the 11th.

His second shot on the long par five sailed right into the water, as did his next six shots. He told officials he had run out of balls as he took his card to playing partner Craig Parry, shook hands and scurried from the course.

Herden said the rules permitted Daly to ask for replacement balls, which could have been brought out to him so he could continue playing.

I've been asked to share a car on occasion...

:lmao: I once walked away from a disc golf tournament in the middle of the 2nd round. :bag:

:lmao: No but I did throw the putter I was using into a ravine on purpose right before I walked off. It was the disc's fault.

They wanted to show him how he wasn't paying attention. :lmao: To be fair, they were trying to show him the correct way like turning towards the person talking to him, eye contact etc.

Big fan of this look. Also, Mrs. SLB took the boys to see the movie last Sunday and said it was pretty good.

Where are you going?
Still up in the air. I'll keep you posted.
Going to the Gopher hoop game, which I was going to invite you to as I have an extra ticket, and then heading home and the wife and I are going to go out to celebrate my birthday. Let me know where you're at and I'll see if I can talk her into celebrating with a bunch of people I've never met and one person I've met once.

So when he quit he would have been lying, what, 15, hitting 16? :lmao:

So Frosty, I was skimming through your FB wall, waiting for Amanda H. to wish you a happy birthday so that I could "like" her comment (thus breaking the ice between her and I, you know, I figure I'd send her a message saying "hey I know that you don't know me so you might think it was odd that I "liked" your comment on Frosty's wall, I meant to "like" someone else's comment but hit yours by mistake... anyways since we both know Frosty, how 'bout you and I bump uglies?")

Anyways, let's talk about Amy S. I don't know much about her other than her "info" and pictures are set to private. Any chance she's a promiscuous girl with small hands and low expectations?

Rum Diary is based on a good book? I've heard nothing about it, but at least you know the story is one of Hunter Thompson's best efforts.ETA: Reviews aren't glowing. Depp is supposedly good, but the source material wasn't translated well to film.

I may have to turn in my Cool Dude Card but I've never been a big fan of Hunter S. Thompson. I know that I'm supposed to love his stuff but about half-way through Fear and Loathing I lost interest. The funny thing is is that I like his more straight forward stuff like Hell's Angels. His "gonzo" works read to me like that thread over th:e:re where people told their funniest drug stories. It's probably hilarious and interesting to the people involved but it just doesn't translate well into good story-telling. JMO.

You guys should try working for a public school. We used to do this overnight field trip to Catalina. The first three times I went I had to share a room with another male teacher. Then we changed principals. The new guy figured out how to rig it so that most of the male teachers had their own rooms.
