Entertainment value with hockey increases exponentially whereas with football I'd almost rather watch at home with HD. Those outdoor winter classics must be awesome.Hockey is the opposite of football: it looks 100X better live than on TV. Football is 100X better on TV than live. I never follow hockey, but wouldn't hesitate to attend an NHL game if invited. It's always a good time.Had a great time. Was really a lot of fun. Will definitely go again, and would love for Seattle to get an NHL team. Super interesting, non-stop action. And I didn't even get to see a fight.You will not be disappointed. I've seen quite a few Winterhawk games and I can't tell you any of the results, but I can recall some awesome brawls. Remember, these kids are 17, 18, 19 years old. They like to play hockey when they aren't fighting. Hockey is probably the best sport to watch live. I went to the Blackhawks/Redwings game at Wrigley. Being a Cubs and Hawks fan, was one of the coolest sporting events I've ever been too.
Wife went to UW vs Ohio State at Lambeau about 5 years ago. I like it, but would not consider it a beginner's. Its very peaty for popularly price blend. Nothing like Chivas, JW Red, Cutty, etc. Good thing is, if you like it - you really like scotch. I used to drink it on the rocks with a splash of seltzer, way back in the day.
I only bought a 200ml bottle so I'll power through it even if it's rough. What would you consider a good beginner scotch for me to look for next time?
