GM's thread about nothing (36 Viewers)

What happened to Jaz Ryenolds in this Okla game? Hurt or just invisible? This is important.
Hurvisible
Dont' speak in riddles devil woman. I need two more catches.

Jaz Reynolds walking off the field for Oklahoma. Last thing Oklahoma needs right now is another hurt receiver.

So that's Gadzooks, Me, TRE, Trem Upside, STL Bob, and Stryker who have had shots in honor of this thread. Let's go, slackers.

Is Maker's Mark more like Jameson or more like Jack Daniels?
More like a mediocre Jack, from what I remember.

Haven't had it in a while, though.Having Glenmorangie Original right now. Still excellent.
YeahThis is like MOP level wrong
:lmao: It's an opinion. I even qualified it.

I've made no claim to be an expert - I'm a single-malt guy. That's what it tasted like to me. Relax.

What would you consider a good beginner scotch for me to look for next time?
tape

I knew I manscaped for the first time ever tonight for a reason.
shaving the wrong part of your body, imo

so while walking around the liquor store today I decided to give some scotch a try. I bought Johnnie Walker Black. Is this a good beginner scotch?
I like it, but would not consider it a beginner's. Its very peaty for popularly price blend. Nothing like Chivas, JW Red, Cutty, etc. Good thing is, if you like it - you really like scotch. I used to drink it on the rocks with a splash of seltzer, way back in the day.
I only bought a 200ml bottle so I'll power through it even if it's rough. What would you consider a good beginner scotch for me to look for next time?
Cutty Sark is a light blend. Mix it with water or soda and its not objectionable. I don't really drink scotch any more, but I used to. Its a solid drunk.

Bottle of Guinness & a shot of Jameson's is on the table.

This is how real men spend their Saturday nights: drinking and playing Skyrim.

If I hate Jack then Maker's Mark is a no go, yes?
Correct.
Incorrect. Jack is a sour mash with a distinctly different taste than Makers. Its not like Jameson either, as that's Irish.

Am I the only one in here that doesn't like whiskey? I don't even know if I have anything in the house for shots. Maybe I'll just take a Flexeril on top of these beers.

Thanks. I mixed the JW with a shot of water and it was pretty damn good. I'll be picking up the other recommendations next week.
