GM's thread about nothing (30 Viewers)

There's one 1/4 mile from my house. I've never been in there but I'm 75% sure they don't serve beer.
sorry to hear about your troubles finding a Chipotle that serves beer.
:lmao: They'd have to do more than serve beer to get me in there. I don't hate the place but I've never seen the appeal considering their prices. Within the same distance there are two sit-down Mexican places with full bars and better food.
Sorry about your overabundance of pseudo-Mexican fare.
No pseudo about it, Gringo.

BAKERSDALE CHIPOTLE
Chipotle serves Mexican and American beers and tequila margaritas, no wine. Margaritas are only $2.25, and pretty strong. A sign bills it as the best margarita you'll ever get in a plastic cup.
oh snap

Chipotle can be recommended for a fine dining experience.
 I should probably know that. I get my haircut right next door at this French place...Supier Cuttes.

Chipotle /= "real" Mexican (TexMex)

Chipotle is damn good but I'd never say, "I feel like Mexican. I'm going to go to Chipotle's"

chipotle is awful.

baja fresh serves beer and is actually something like mexican food.

baja fresh all closed around here, but I remember them being very good.None of these chains (including Qdoba and Moe's) approach mexican food though, really.

Whoa - if it wasn't for Rud, that was almost a 4 post string from Seattle. Way to f it up Aaron.

When are we going drinking?

They're both about the same to me. Isn't Chipotle's hook that they use all organic and locally sourced meat and produce? I thought that was what the premium $ was about.

It means serving the very best sustainably raised food possible with an eye to great taste, great nutrition and great value.

It means that we support and sustain family farmers who respect the land and the animals in their care.

It means that whenever possible we use meat from animals raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones.

And it means that we source organic and local produce when practical. And that we use dairy from cows raised without the use of synthetic hormones.
So probably not very often.

I'm free now, who wants to come to Kirkland?
I'm goign to Fierarebend in about 2 hours to celebrate my 7 weeks of hell being over with coworkers. Finaly tally - oover 30,000 truckloads shipped since November 1st on my watch. I need to put back about .1% of that in beers tonight.

Sounds like a celebration well deserved :thumbup:So Rude, when you going to be out here? What's the skinny?

Came pretty close to landing a job with them managing their inbound logistics. Would have been interesting to see how this held up but I know some people there and they seem like they really hold true to this philosophy. I don't think it's just smoke and mirrors.

wife might be going on temporary assignment at Boeing for 6 months or so. I'd probably come along and work my job remotely.maybe starting in February/March-ish. It might not happen though. Still being decided.

Meh. I'm just one of those people that doesn't give a flip about "organic" and "free range". Give me my damn lard-coated hormone-pumped chicken burrito, Lupe. Chip chop chip.

Do it. Seattle in the summer is one of the best places on earth. I'd love to live in Seattle and if I didn't love Portland just a little bit more, I'd move there. Fantastic place.

Sit in a room in another city and do long division?
pretty much. But I could go to Whistler or bowling with GM in Portland on the weekends.

Great mountain biking too

Do you know which area you'd be in?
Office in South Seattle I think. Corporate housing probably has a few options in the city.

True. And you could go up to Bellingham and tell The Artist Formerly Known as ! to not PM me whenever I respond to one of his posts.

I'd try to have a beer with ! soon after arriving. I think he just wants to be left alone. Stop antagonizing him.
:lmao: If I keep on antagonizing him should I watch what happens?Dude makes several controversial and unpopular (which he acknowledges as such) posts in the ADD/HD thread. I responded to his asinine opinions not because of who he is but because his opinions are asinine. He also forgets that we've seen eye-to-eye on a lot of things posted in other education based threads. Funny how I don't get a PM from him saying "thanks for agreeing with me".

I feel like these slot machines might be rigged.
:lmao: Quit stealing my material.

! and Mrs ! are both very good peopleEven if he's being a little weird in the ADD thread
Yeah, see, he was nothing but a #### to me and I never cared. Just let it slide. THIS however, crosses way over that line.

All of my friends are going to be partying up north and I just can't be doing the drinking and driving thing. Considered spending the night at somebody's house but decided to stay home. Feel free to entertain/keep me company via text.

Yeah, pick making all sorts of comments about "my issues" and being a gigantic ##### in general tempted me to sit around and be a #### in return, I'm rolling with the "ignore the trolls" theory instead. I think tonight he's going to go to an AA meeting and tell people it's all in their heads and they should just stop drinking so much.

Is this one of those U-Haul deals I've been reading so much about?
Funny you mention that. The commute to see each other daily was rough because she lives about 25 miles away while I lived in Dallas proper. About 2.5 months ago, I moved in with her. It made more sense because I can work from anywhere (out of the home) while she lives in Plano and works in Lewisville. Plus, her place is much bigger than mine. I still have all my furniture in the Dallas condo and we have a pad to crash in if we drink too much in Dallas. I plan to do the U-Haul thing soon and sublet the Dallas place for $1,500 a month. But because I'm an FBG'er, I'll hire actual movers vs. renting a U-Haul. Did I ever think I would ever live in Plano? Hell, no. But she is absolutely worth it and I don't regret it one bit.

:lmao:

Package arrives today. The ultimate poker kit - from Flysack.

Inside?

Fake mustaches. All sorts of fake mustaches.

Then, my cat wants to check out the Christmas goodies.

I had to put them on top of the fridge so he didn't become the second GMTAN secret Santa casualty.

Then, the note. I am apparently supposed to use these on my opponents, GM-style.

Pretty glad I didn't feed the cat now.

Congrats again GB and sorry to hear about the parents. I just don't get it but you seem pretty strong. When I was 12 my uncle got me one of these for Christmas. On it he taped a note that said "Sorry, all I got you for Christmas was this plano tackle box". I don't know why I still think that's funny. :lmao:
