So a guy I know told me this morning that his son and daughter in law were going to be on the Dr. Oz show today. He didn't seem to know much about the show, but told him I'd check it out if I got a chance/
Then I checked out the listing for today's show and saw it was about "Shocking Sexual Questions"' and included questions about unpleasant body smells, body odor and "other strange and embarrassing questions."
I passed.

So no swinging Valentine's Day lasagna for me tonight. About 11 last night I started what could only be considered the most disgusting projectile...everything, at the same time...ever recorded. Add to that that I was in such great stomach pain for hours that I actually cried from it and prayed for it to stop (just covering my bases). Not kidding.
To make the whole Val. Day event more awkward, I went ahead and encouraged Mr. krista to go to dinner without me, while I sit in bed slowly sipping Gatorade that I can't keep down.

Mine lasted just under 24 hours. Started the same way, groaning and whimpering through the first night. Made me very happy that the upstairs bathroom is small enough that one could use both the toilet and shower at the same times if there was business on both ends. I could keep water/crackers down by the next afternoon and felt "okayish" by the time I went to bed the next night. It didn't help that JR wanted to provide me with medical assistance that mostly seemed like him finding creative ways to jump up and down on my stomach.

Mine started at 10pm and went on until 6am non-stop. I was useless of course that day and slept all but an hour of the following day. Was about 50% the third and really started feeling better after that. Make sure you sip the soda really slow. This remedy is something my Great Grandmother taught me and works every time. You have to take it slow though. GL. My heart seriously goes out to you.

We came to SC this afternoon because my dad gave my mom a Maltese puppy for Valentine's day. She's been wanting one for years, so it was kind of a big deal and all the kids were here for it. We are spending the night here tonight, and my dad has a horrible cough. I'm in the living room catching up on Internets, and because he doesn't want to keep the dog awake on its first night, he came in here to sleep on the couch for a bit ---- wearing a pink snuggie. WTF.

We shared all the apps, and I couldn't decide on an entree, so the server said I could get a half portion of the carbonara and the capesante. The capesante and the mushroom crepes were simply phenomenal. We also sampled several (6?) different desserts. Amazing tiramisu.
As far as what I did, it apparently wasn't as bad as I thought. I felt like I completely showed my ###, but I guess most of the people were just as drunk as I was, and didn't even notice. The only thing I caught any flak for was ordering 12 desserts.

Ended up giving the basket to my stepmon with a card signed from "her boys." My dad is in the hospital right now with a knee replacement, so she didn't get any kind of V-Day this year.The 10 extra roses I had left over, I gave to the really cute nurses that are taking care of my dad. Working late on Valentine's Day, probably hating the world, and they each get 3 roses wrapped up with a bow. I played the "thanks for taking great care of my Dad" card. I'm looking forward to going back up there tonight to check on him.
