GM's thread about nothing (19 Viewers)

When I was a senior in college, my friend and I were :banned: and around 2:00 a.m. we went to the local Waffle House. When we got there, we compiled our cash in the parking lot and came up with something like $2.63 total. I walked in to see if there was anything we could get with that amount, and basically showed the first waitress I found two cupped handfuls of a crumpled up dollar bill and some change. I asked what I could get for that amount, and she replied, "Just go ahead and have a seat, sweetie. We'll figure it out."

We sat down and I had the only patty melt of my entire life. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever tasted. To this day, that meal (hazy as the whole experience is) ranks among my top-5. I assume she either comped anything over and above the $2.63, or she picked it up herself. So kind.

Pattie Melts bring the world together.

10 day summary in here??
Previously on GMTAN...Shuke took a picture of himself holding a Wade Boggs baseball card in his Reds Shrine Room as he and several dozen of us got caught up in FBG Lotto Madness. Each and every one of us fantasized about super rich winnings, an epic cornhole in Veags with hookers and blow and copious handjobs for all. Then, Tigerfan jinked each and every one of us by starting a ridiculous thread asking what we were REALLY going to do with all our winnings. Doomed to fail the, ~700 Mega Jackpot tickets bought by the 'syndicate' failed to yield enough winnings to cover dinner for two at Olive Garden. If you are pitching a no-hitter, treat Tigerfan like a Leper patient with SARS. He will jinx you silly.

Krista is intelligent and wealthy enough to purchase a second Nicraguan home which both smells of really old Tanner AND sits across the street from a family full of midgets. She cannot, however, remember her FBG password and is stuck posting as her husband, which is making cyber-sex with her very awkward and peculiar.

Guster went all Disco Stu on us for about 2 weeks with lude and lascivous (sp?) tales of tail complet:e: with pics, but has sadly fallen in love and will probably be proposing in the next month. Gadzooks, meanwhile, jizzimed on his tuxedo pants and doesn't want to take it into the dry cleaners because he works for the gal's father and there is only one cleaner in the entire metro Boston area.

Thorn sent out another video trying to disprove the assertion that he very much sounds like the the Pepperidge Farm Cookie Man, but it only served to strengthen the belief that the two are related. Tre sent around a follow up video in which he drank a fifth of pernot, 7 PBRs, two shots of Old Smugglers scotch and 4,898 of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes. He plans on taking a giant whizz on the state of Wisconsin.

Kevzilla spent 3 years learning how to count cards, then went to Las Vegas where he promptly put his newfound skills to video poker. He hit it big, then went upstairs to iron his hair and redistribute his mega winnings.

YSR hasn't broken anything in a while, but she did nearly flip over a poker table after mistakenly mucking a winning hand.

St. Louis Bob completed his path, then invested a bunch of money in a company that will make his path invisible. He also discovered an alien life form on one of his 'walks'.

Tanner tried to take a video of himself and send it along to the GMTAN Text Clique, but none of us have silent picture apps on our phones, so it didn't go over very well.

We were all sorry to hear about all the troubles Cosjobs has been having at work, man.

Osaurus (sp?) took the time and effort to send out an ENORMOUS amount of music to all of us. I'm trying to find a CD player on craigslist to play some of the classical tunes. That was very cool of him. So cool that we've forgiven his avatar switch.

Bogart lost his dad to cancer, but gave him a very touching and heartfelt good-bye. Disco Stu also lost his dad recently. It's been a pretty tough month for GMTAN folks. Woz almost lost his virginity too, but he ran out of the jack-shak before the deed could be completed.

I think that's most of it.
Meeting this new chick or not, I was starting to run low on shtick ideas. That said, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have at least one more go 'round with FWB, so the pics aren't quite over yet

So, the girls soccer team has practiced Monday and Wednesday this week, which is good coming off from the weekend's games that we had.

Before the practice, I was thinking of a way to bring more fun to what we're doing, so I came up with a little cheer for them.

I made it up while my daughter was playing on the playground before practice on Monday and then during practice brought them all together and taught it to them.

At practice today, after they warmed up, I brought them all together to tell them what we'd be doing and a couple of the girls bragged that they remembered the cheer, so they lead the team as we all brought our hands into the middle. It felt super cool to have them connect with it and I'm not gonna lie that it felt a bit rewarding to have it seem to be an important part of the experience for them.

I'm going to have them to it before and after each game that we have as a way to build

So, rather than tease it, here is the (admittedly corny) cheer... Our team name is "Kilgour #4" (there are 3 other teams from our school and a total of ~15 teams in the league):

Kilgour, Kilgour, Kilgour 4

Run and pass and shoot to score

Ready??? (pause)

Fun on three...

1

2

3

FUN!!!!! (screamed as loud as they can)

Should have gone with:Kill! Gore! Kill! Gore! Kill! Gore! Kilgour 4!

Kyle Lohse had two strikes on 11 batters tonight but could only manage three strikeouts. What a dickfor.
I wasn't expecting to hear much complaining about Lohse's performance tonight
Don't play Fantasy Baseball, huh?
Or Lohse prop bets...
Wasn't able to get my account funded until after first pitch tonight. I was watching the game, sweating you guys thoughCan't wait for tomorrow. Taking a half day so I can watch the Sox.Hope they win 12-2 or 15-9

Guster> just discovered Gordo's today on Montgomery. Been there? Half pound burgers and one of the hottest chicks of all tiem working.

Really digging Ian Poulter at 100-1 to win the Masters. He finished third at the Arnold Palmer last time out and has been in the top 27 the last five times out at Augusta. 100-1 is way too high.

Yep, amazing burgers (either Gordo's or Terry's are my favorites). It's owned by one of Jean Robert's former chefs and he clearly knows what he's doing.Great beer selection too. One of the best places in the city to grab a beer during an XU game. While there aren't many TVs, the place will get packed with Xavier fans. We should grab lunch there sometime

Watching HGTV House Hunters International right now.Is that Chemical X? :lmao:
That's the rumor....but I don't believe it for a second. No way in hell he passed any reality TV charisma paramaters...what's next, Cosjobs on the Bachelor?
No, that's him. He has the jew factor on 11.
Is his segment over? Just turned it on. How in the holy hell did they select Chemical X for this? :lmao:
Still going.
