GM's thread about nothing (11 Viewers)

FYI - Buffalo Wild Wings now charges 60 cents for a dressing cup (either blue cheese or horrid ranch) and celery sticks, but they only charge on Tuesdays and Thursdays which just so happen to be cheap wing night and cheap boneless wing night. Seems pretty lame. I'd start a thread on it but this seems smarter.

So I had this huge zit on the bridge of my nose the other day. I had to pop it like three times and each time I lost about 2 liters of pus. Anything I can do about this? It looks like it's scabbed over, very gross and embarrasing looking, and I have a pretty important business meeting on Saturday. What should I do? Some kind of zit cream or something like neosporin?
Burn your nose and part of your face with a blowtorch. Nobody will notice the zit.

Wait, can you see the one I have in the vids? I have had one for the past week and it won't come to a head and can't pop it.

backstory for those who haven't heard it. A few years ago I bought the liquor collection of a guy who was a rep for some NYC distributor, retired here, then died. It had about 3000 bottles of booze, including huge allotments of Pernod, Kierschwasser, , Bendictine, Lemon Hart Rum, Creme de Menthe, and B and B. Those six made up about 25 percent of the collection. I went on a Creme de Menthe kick a couple years back and drank a ton of grasshoppers. Woke up feeling stinky-headed and crapped green, but they were delicious. Pernod would be great on an Alpine skit trip, but I don't do that much and still ahve about 30 bottles. THe bendictine and B and B are great liqueurs and I have made a sizeable dent in that stack. i regret seeing it shrink to the degree it has. I tried the Kirschwasser (cherry liqueur) once. Still have tons. Will be a bag o crap staple for years to come.

If it's kirsch it's a cherry flavored brandy, so yes it's best for cooking or maybe some mixed drinks if you're creative.

I just wanted to thank the valuable contributors of the GMTAN for helping me through all the rough times ive been through recently - I wouldn't be who I am today withouth your help and support

For better/for worse

You will forever be my heo. Your generosity is an inspiration and I hope that I can get to the point in my life where I can impact others as much as you have. You are a seriously awesome guy

I have found no use for it other than filler in pre-paid USPS boxes of crap sent to i-friends.eit to add: kind of like the whole wheat spaghetti, but not as useful as a packing material.

$$$ serving is to take the raw spaghetti, poke it through 1~/2" slices of hot dgs and boil. Fun and awesome for kids

shuke> this may sound ridiculous and you may want to consult the Internet, but I've always heard that Preparation H can take the redness and swelling out of something like that. Not kidding. Never tried it myself, thankfully, so YMMV.

Mr. Krista reminded me he's used kirsch in a lot of soups, especially bisques in replacement of Pernod. Also that it's good in hot chocolate. Then he started talking about German pastries and I left.

God help me if my wife or future children find this threadPS My wife felt movement down there today :excited:
Congrats! :excited:eTA: oh, you were probably talking about her stomach. That's good, too.
According to the interwebs that she's reading that means actual movement at her stage. Thanks! We've got the ultrasound this coming Wednesday so we're pretty excited about that...except that she doesn't want to know the sex. When we go out to dinner I can barely decide what I want to eat before the waitress comes back a 3rd time and now I have to pick 2 baby names? :bag:

The good news is that "GMTAN" works equally well for either gender.

I'm well into my second bottle of wine and still not feeling it. I think the adrenaline of the past few days is making it "not take". This is ok as another tough work day tomorrow, but I hate not being able to get drunk when necessary.

Yeah, these videos are epic all around. First one I remember seeing from Guster, too! We need Thorn to weigh in.

BTW, love me some Otis, but WTF was that random shot he posted earlier?

Oat, taking over IP group as part of my new job. We'll talk.

Thorn active via text, but videos appear to be an issue right now.

I mean, I had this exact same thought/joke. Nothing? What're we on a board full of menfolk???
:welcome: I was just going to post and ask how your job is going, outside of the fact that it's a job.And your point is well taken. I thought it was set up specifically for that and i was taking the bait. :hot:
