Heard the strangest song I've heard in a long time today and I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The voice sounded very familiar and I knew right away it wasn't a modern era song.

"Don't Box Me In" by Stan Rdigway (with Stuart Copeland and his sound is distinctly heard in this). Just looked it up. Reason why it sounded familiar was that Stan was the lead singer for Wall of Vodoo of "Mexican Radio" fame.

I was a wee pup in the early 80's, but "Mexican Radio" was and still is one of my favorite songs. I never owned it, so I never over played it and I never had MTV, so it remained an under played song for my ears. Could get into this guy some more.

Would any logo guys in here like to spend a few minutes mocking up a logo for me? I will send a gift card or Paypal or even bake you cookies if you can help. I have a VERY crude sketch but a much better explanation, and the logo should be really simple in its design.

If anyone is interested, let me know.

Will probably need the finished product emailed to me in whatever type file on normally stores a logo (will be going to a printer for some forms and business cards).

I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I had a trip to Manila Philippines, for a short vacation unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed,all cash,credit card and Cell were all stolen from us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.

We've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in few hrs from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills the amount needed now is just $2,850 .I am so confused right now and thank God i wasn't injured because I complied immediately.

Waiting to read from you so we can let you know how to get the money wired to us.

More than likely.I would ask which hotel and call the hotel, better yet, he should call you using a phone from the hotel.Also try and call the guy at his home or business.

Don't respond to the email. Call the guy and tell him he needs to change his email password.
 
Um, yes, its a scam. Its always a scam. can you seriously picture a random work acquaintance emailing you asking for thousands and they say they're just going to wait there until you write back? They hack your email password, send it to your whole email address book, and then wait for a response which they hope gets you to say something likeI can't do 2850 but I can send you a grand. I especially like that his flight leaves in a few hours, so he's emailing you. oh,and he has no credit or bank cards, but you can somehow magically wire him money, and he will get it, instead of paying for his hotel over the phone with a credit card. Or the idea that a hotel manage is holding him hostage for a ransom of less than three grand in hotel bills. And so on.

How did the hotel manager even find out he was getting stiffed? Did the guy go up to his hotel manager,tell him he got mugged, and the guy said, im sorry to hear that, you're going to have to stay in our lobby jail until someone wires money to you. Oh, ok. Hey, I don't have access to email or any money to use an internet cafe, but can I borrow your laptop so I can send an email to one and only one person, a guy I met a couple weeks ago whose business I desperately need now that im out thousands from being mugged internationally in some nondescript country with apparently strict rules on leaving hotel properties without paying? Be a peach and let me know if he emails back, too, so I can have an extended email chat with him about how to wire money to me even though my plane leaves in a few hours. Kthxbye.

I'll never fall for any of those types of scams.

1. Nobody I know would ever assume that I had enough money to help them.

2. Even if I did I probably wouldn't help them.

Probably one of those pay after the fact hotels I keep hearing so much about. The ones where you don't give them a credit card at all until you're ready to check out. Big fan.

Solid A-/B+ notebooking. Someone hacked into my Facebook account and, posing as me, posted something like this on my Wall as well as "chatting" with several of my friends to tell the same story (only I was allegedly stuck in London).

We just stayed in one that has like pressure plates or laser #### on the honor bar. You can't even pick up a bag of Oreos without it hitting your hotel bill. WTF, people? Are honor system Corn Nuts keeping Hyatt from making a profit this year?
