GM's thread about nothing (34 Viewers)

I'm torn on Greatest Asian American: Isaac Asimov or Hock Meng Tay?
Are you drafting in that thing? (Yes, I'm too lazy and/or terrified to look)Assimov will trip Timmy's wikipedia skillz. Go with Hock but make the post with an elaborate history. Say he invented the Hock Syndrome, which is when people get seizures from watching too much CNN.

I'm posting this for no other reason than I thought it was a cool story...bro.

On a side note, after watching that Ted Nugent vid...About 10 years ago I went to a book signing by Nugent on a whim, stood in line for an hour with my refin '59 LP Junior that happened to be in my trunk, just to see that he was charging 50 bucks to sign anything but his book. No way I was going to pay. So as I'm there talking to his handler he comes over away from the table, leaving a line of about 50 people asking whats going on. He asks to see my guitar, plays a couple of licks, tels me that he cant sign the guitar but grabs an 8X10, signs it and gives me a pick. No charge. I thougnt that was pretty cool.
I was a big fan of the Amboy Dukes when I was in Jr. High, but Ted's a ####. He could have signed the guitar in the time it took to get an 8x10 and a pick. I would have ripped it up and thrown it in his face.
The problem is that there are usually things written in the contract about what the person can do at signings. Since it's a book signing then the book store wants to sell books, not have him sign autographs all day. I wouldn't blame him for doing what he did and it was probably the best he could do. I've been to a bunch of book signings and have never seen the person do something like that.

Is it in Nugent's contract to be a loud-mouth, whack job that can only get an erection if he's killing something?

I'm in Singapore. I've been awake for >30 hours and am not tired. Also, not on any drugs.
Are you by yourself or is OH with you?
On my own.Originally I was going to go to Bali first for three days, but I am a dork who feels guilty easily and canceled due to work.I do have a full day to myself tomorrow before my meeting on Friday. I just plan to eat.ETA: I have perhaps the second-best hotel view I've ever had. It's spectacular. I'll attempt to post pictures tomorrow.

Ritz-Carlton, but the view is essentially the same as the first picture that came up when I clicked that link (but I'm a bit higher up on the 30th floor).I'll figure out how to do pics tomorrow. I am finally tired and going to bed. :)

Wait, isn't Hock in Singapore? Tracking him down for a GMTAN shot might shut down the Internet.
He's pretty desperate to get back to the USA so he can work on Excel all day long. Can you put him in your luggage?

Ooooooooof

I'm a pretty nondescript poster. I only venture into a few threads throughout the day/night, this one of course being about my favorite.

At work, I don't have speakers connected to my computer, so I usually view the shot threads without sound, which works pretty good for the most part actually. And then early Saturday or Sunday mornings, I check this thread from my laptop at home, before my kids or wife awake and will review the one's I wanted to hear what was said - and check out the Thorn video's, before they are Thorned.

My wife is well aware of this message board and that I read and am a poster here - I play in a few leagues with a few guys from here and there too. Of course at first she thought it was a little strange, but over the years she has warmed to it and doesn't feel uncomfortable with me sending checks to a guy named Florist out in Oregon.

Anywhooo...fast forward to last night, where I am enjoying a few adult cocktails, watching my beloved Rangers :hockey: play and am rejoicing after a victory. So, when the game is over and my wife is watching something on the television, I open this thread up to read a little, and just cannot resist watching:

Is 37 too old to take up smoking pot?
Hell no. My mother admitted to us that she tried it recently and likes it. A lot. She wants my sister to get her some 'joints'. Also, my dad took my mom to the ER this morning, kicking and screaming. She said she was fine and would ride out her cold with Nyquil and rest. She has a horrible bout of Pnemonia (not even going to attempt looking this one up but I know it starts with "ph" and that's it) and will be hospitalized for the next two days.

Video posting people: I have a small group of people that are following my youtube id now thanks to the shots. I'm thinking we should put these on a blog. Not my existing blog, but a blog that's solely related to shot videos. Is everyone (except Thorn) in for that? Let me know if you have issue, but this could be pretty funny as I imagine we'll get strangers to send us some pretty weird stuff.
I say make it an anonymous Tumbler feed.
What exactly is Tumbler? I tried it out once and it confused the hell out of me.

Well, if you've never smoked anything before, I might advise against doing this. Inhaling anything into your lungs isn't always a comfortable experience. If you must smoke it, take a tiny puff into your mouth and then take a deep inhale. Hold it....exhale slowly. Cough it out. You will not like the feeling. And when you smoke pot for the first time, it probably won't do too much to you. I think I got mad at pot the first few times I tried and felt I was immune to it until I hotboxed 3 joints in a car with two other buddies. At that point, I realized I was way wrong and floated myself over to a McDonalds to polish of a 20 Piece Chicken McNuggets that included me eating the rest of the sauces with a spoon. I suggest eating it in a brownie or cookie first. Plenty of Dallas peeps around here that can point you in the right direction. I have quite a few herbal partaking pals who can hook you up if need be, though that's not a call I'd like to have to explain.

Have the shot secretary note that I'll be taking my show on the road to beautiful Hayward, WI this weekend. This shouldn't interfere with my ability to produce a vid or two.
Don't forget to stop at the 5 o clock bar

I just spent 3.5 hours calling voters in my school district to drum-up/gauge support for the bond we've got on the June 5 ballot. I hate trying to sell people stuff. I hate talking about politics. I hate talking about taxes/finance. I'm pretty sure I actually cost us votes tonight.
No lie, my GB said he didn't go vote last weekend b/c he got 4 calls from candidates that day and he was just annoyed

That seems like a good reason not to vote.

Can you send me the link? Have I won anything? Enjoy Bobby Valentine. I watched him manage a 1989 loaded Texas Rangers team into the ground.
