GM's thread about nothing (28 Viewers)

I've just realized I feel uncomfortable venturing out of this thread. Those people out in the FFA are weird.
Yep, no weirdos in here
I would get in a bathtub and light firecrackers with any one of you guys. No homo.
Clitboner. I love the way it just rolls off your tongue. Clitboner. Clitboner. I want to put it in my pocket. Clitboner. I want to smoke it. Clitboner. I want to high-five it (gently). Clitboner.

Going out drinking with Bakes in a little bit. I always think it's strange when he and I hang out for the simple fact that I think everyone in public assumes he's my dad. Love the guy though
I've had people ask me if cosjobs was my boss when we've been out drinking. I don't appreciate the implication that I've made the kind of life decisions that would force me to find work for a guy that looks like cosjobs.

Oh yeah, Cal made a metal detector when I was at the lake. He taped a calculator to a radio, turned both the calculator and radio on, then he put it on AM and tuned it to the highest channel on the dial.It works.

I just watched a 25 minute Boy Scout highlight clip with Cal.

Some thoughts:

1. I really have been a dickmitten of a dad and should have made time to make more of his outings instead of making allowing Mrs. SLB to have all the fun.

2. There were multiple close ups of every kid except him.

3. The camping and gosh darn the good old fashioned Tomfoolery looked painful. Really wholesome ####. Puke.

3a. Kind of wishing I would have let him quit now.

3b. I bet he would take an iPad in exchange for quitting.

That's preferable to someone seeing the family resemblance when you're sitting next to bakes imo.Nothing personal, GB.

 I need a certain mentality that come with a lack of responsibilities and a surplus of time to engage you good people in this thread and lately I haven't been able to get there, but I just want to say I miss this place and pray for a day when I can again keep up. :banned:

Major T&Ps krista.

As someone days away from being single (if the stupid paperwork can just get filed), I can say that it does get better afterwards.

I should have guessed that "Falling Slowly" was not a guy. That little twist, my friend, will be talked about for years and be a part of FFA lore.
This is still blowing my mind. Someone compared to the shock of finding out Keiser Soze was Kevin Spacey and I totally agree.
Waht?

2:1 odds we talk about you tonight, Bob  . You're always on our discussion agenda.

MARIANO RIVERA, NO!!!!!

St. Louis Bob - We gambling on the Blues/Kings tonight or do you want to just ride our series bet out? I could text you, but my phone is all the way over there on the other side of the desk. :lazy:

I don't know how this text thing works, but I've started up a groupme app, and if we want it's a way to turn it into a text message chatroom. PM me your # if you want in. It's pretty slick. I'll add your # and username, and all texts to this number will show up with a username so you know who is whom.

Or not. See what I care.

didn't even notice anyways, cute kid. that's ok to say about a guy's son, right?maybe it's just me but it got a little dusty in here

K4> I finally read that whole thread. T&P to you. AngryWife and I were talking at dinner about a couple friends of ours that are having trouble in their marriage when I blurted out "If you think that's bad, let me tell you about what Krista4 from the Internet is going through." And then I got one of those looks where she questions her decision to stay married to me for 10 years. Not sure if referring to you as the lady who sent us the vuvuzela made it better or worse.

Thinking about letting JR wake her up in the morning with a vuvuzela salute just for the heck of it.

And, JR peed on the potty during both breaks at preschool today and came home with a dry diaper. Because these are the kinds of things I get excited about these days.

Who sent the PM to Imp?
To answer this...I'm pretty sure no one will step forward now.
I really thought they would too. Engaging you is always a dreamy non-stressful way to spend your day, like skipping through sunlit fields of supermodels dripping beer from their nipples.
You use sarcasm yet you have engaged me many times in the past. It's like you try to hang off the tip of the GMTAN crowd while also hanging off mine. You are one very insecure little dude.
I find all this inappropriate and very tiresome.

let's all go to the drunk thread and put this all behind us.

Always Europe.

Yeah, I don't know. They are always different too. Last night I had a bazooka, the guy next to me did too and there were 7-8 guys with rifles. We were trying to outflank some tanks (left side) through a forest when they outflanked us and came right at us. All hell was breaking loose and I woke up.
What kind of rifles? M1s or BARs? Maybe a carbine?
It is never that crystal clear. There is always a haze or fog. Best guess would be carbines but they could have been BARs. I do remember talking to the guy next to me laughing as we loaded our bazookas though.
Freud would have a field day with this dream.

I should have gotten drunk tonight. Fat chance of me having ANY fun this weekend. Relay for Life related events Fri-Sun. At the risk of sounding like a total jerkbag I don't see the point in attending the actual Relay. We've raised around $17,000 since January or so (a big thanks again to everyone here who donated). We might actually make another couple of hundred at the event from selling raffle tickets but we could have done that at our other 2 fundraisers. I'm still trying to figure out how walking around some track, in shifts, for 24 hours is going to do jack. It's not a jog-a-thon. Yeah, I'm pretty much a tool.

I really don't see how you're a tool here. it's a fund raiser. you raised funds--a lot of funds. walking in circles isn't going to accomplish anything.

I wondered about this, too. I assumed that it was some kind of deal where you got a pledge of X dollars per mile or lap. Apparently it's nothing like that at all.Nobody's going to know whether you actually show up and walk it.

Yeah but this is my sister's thing. It was her husband that passed away and I can see why she wants to be a part of it. I'm just not a big fan of ceremony and crap. I honestly think I'm going to tell her that next year I'll do even more fundraising if I don't have to go.

I get that. There's a certain amount of ceremony to it, but you went to the memorial, you drank with the family, and you raised a ton of money. It makes sense that she may want to be part of it. I guess if you feel like you need to support her by doing it, that's worth it, but I don't see how you're obligated to this. Then again, I'm an emotionless, cynical ##### of a lawyer. you should probably do the opposite of what I feel is morally and socially appropriate.

seattle question--I signed up for a free month on match.com. why is it that there are so many mid-30s hot chicks in Bothell?

So sorry about your problems, Krista. You deserve so much better.

Today I confiscated a phone from a student and intended to return it to him at the end of the day. Some asswipe stole it out of my cabinet before that happened. I feel like a heel.

Both goodpostings. Another thing is that my sister, my sister's friends, and even my wife to some extent, LOVE to plan all this stuff. I should say over-plan it. They have meetings pretty much to get ready for more meetings. And in between send emails so they are prepared for the meetings about the meetings. There's more but I think I have to get ready for a meeting.

I know I haven't posted on these boards forever and a day. But I read through GMTAN pretty religiously. Krista's thread reminded me how much I like the people here, so I will try and ease my way back in.So, recent stuff:1) We are buying a new house and moving. The new place is only about 8 blocks away. Still in Alexandria VA. Holy shnikies moving sucks.2) My kids are 8 and 11. I friggen love those ages. I want to bottle them now, because I am afraid of what they will be like at 13 and 16.3) I am applying for a new job. Application is due Monday. Holy crap, it sucks Monkey balls. I don't know how I'm going to finish it. I have to finish 7 three-page essays by Monday at midnight.Anyway, just had to vent.
Very good to see you J

seriously, what the hell is in Bothell? Why do all these divorced mid-30s chicks live there? I just can't justify the drive, unless I can set up an evening with 2 or 3 of them in a row.

Oh this is pretty much me most of the time. The other day 3 members of my school's student council came up and asked me if I was willing to help with a pep rally they are having tomorrow.Me: What do you need me to do?Kids: Well we're going to have a flash-mob with the cheerleaders. We're going to get up and dance...Me: You want me to dance with the cheerleaders? Is that what you're saying?Kids: Yeah.Me: Guys, I would love to help. But I'm not dancing at a rally.Kids: But we've already got Mr. Allen and Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Mitch...Me: Yeah, those guys are suckers. And I've also got a bad knee from Vietnam. (I really did say both of those things)Kids: :confused:Me: Just kidding...about the 'Nam thing.
