I applied for a job about a month back. I provided both my phone number and email address for contact info.I haven't heard anything yet. This isn't that unusual for this type of job, but I am starting to wonder if I'll be offered an interview. There's also a slight complication: I don't own a cellphone (hate them) and the answering machine for my home phone is stuck in Spanish mode. I've tried everything but can't get it back to English. I'm slightly worried that their human resources monkey called, got confused by the Spanish, and hung up without leaving a message. However, I'm Facebook Friends with one of the people doing the hiring (not from HR - the actual department I'd work in). Is it bad form to send a FB message asking about when they're scheduling interviews? I'm leaning toward not saying anything...

I don't understand why people have cellphones. The only reason I can see needing one is if you break down on the highway or get held up by ruffians.

Yah, I guess being able to answer a potential job offer from where ever you are is pretty inconvenient.

I didn't think anything of it because we get Inkjet and Toner Cartridges delivered a few days a week.So I went to bed not opening it. A little while later my wife came in the bedroom and asked what a GMTAN was. Then she said, with tears in her eyes that I had to read it, I was so surprised and touched that I started bawling.So thoughtful....Thank you, you guys are what make this place so good.
