GM's thread about nothing (29 Viewers)

Never been to this city before. What's good?
Are you in the Springhill Suites or the Marriott across from PNC Park?
Residence Inn
You are within walking distance of some pretty good bars. Go towards the Springhill Suites, On Federal Street, Mullen's is a decent place, go a little past Federal St and you will come to Finnegan's Wake, pretty cool place, a little further down Gen Robinson will be the Warhol Museum that K4 mentioned. That is all stumbling distance. You are one what we Pittsburghers call the North Side (North Shore), over in Dahntahn, you can go to Blush on, I think 9th street, not sure if they still have the lunch buffet but it is a Strip Joint. You can head to the Strip District to the Heinz History Center and Sports Museum. The Strip District is also where the Original Primanti's is. Cheerleaders(another strip joint) is, I think around 31st street.Over by Heinz Field is the Rivers Casino and Carnegie Science Center. You can also take the 'T' (the subway) over to Station Square, buncha shops and restaurants there. You can then try to get a cab (not many in the city) further on up Carson Street to what is affectionately known as the South Side. Whole lotta bars there. Fatheads is pretty good place, Mario's and Blue Lou's - Used to be able to get a Fishbowl there, not sure if they still have those.

As I mentioned to earlier, I get to chaperone the junior prom tonight. The good news is that the entire chaperoning crew is from 24-33, and we've decided that when the kids clear out of the place, we are moving 15 feet to the hotel bar where we will quickly drink away the $77 earned for our services.
Are you a teacher or a parent? Seems like a young chaperoning crew.

Just here until Sunday night. My sister is graduating from the Duquesne pharmacy school.Probably going to head over to the Strip District and get some Primantis' and a fish sandwich from Wholey's.Might hit the Church brewpub afterwards. More family coming into town later tonight.Thanks.Looks like Warhold museum has a bar and half price admission on Friday nights. Might check that out later.Need to find a dinner place for later too.

I think all of the bars I mentioned also serve food, Station Square does have restaurants, depends what you are looking for. Benkovitz Seafood in the Strip also serves up some good Fish Sandwiches...If you get a chance, Saturday mornings, that whole area of the Strip District is bustlin'. You'll have a good weekend, especially, since the weather is gonna be decent.

Almost forgot, The Penn Brewery, which you are also, not that far from, they serve German and Eastern European food and their Beers are really good. The Penn Dark is really good.

Greetings from the land of beer and cheese. And I know it is because I had a brat, onion, and cheese omlette for breakfast. :porked: Just phone interviewed for a job in Tampa and landed an in person interview for next week. :pickle:
Congrats. Kill 'em and move to the land of good sports teams with no fan base.

I'm having trouble following, since I think fish's definition of dating might be different than my own. How many of these girls are you sleeping with?
2. The other two are works in progress.
Ok, thanks. I'd drop Knuckles, keep working the FWB thing with the 20-something, and pursue new prospects at every opportunity. :banned: Edit: but I realize you're not asking for advice here.
Impossible. She's like a vampire at this point. When he shoots her down she just crawls under the floorboards to regenerate her powers and reappears two months later like nothing happened.
I love knuckles. She's one of the best supporting characters in GMTAN stories ever. IMO, she ranks up their with Destiney, Hock Meng Tay and that cat that used to email Krista.
Quit stealing GM's shtick.

Tell it to her mom. It's like she never listened to Donna Summer's band.
