GM's thread about nothing (33 Viewers)

Nothing like spending a work day playing golf at a golf tournament. Very refreshing to put on short pants instead of a suit. I'm also in the mood to get violently drunk and I'm hornier than a house cat right now, so I might hump a tree today.

This might sound gay (no offense Tanner) but do any of you guys shave your chest? And I imagine if you do it once you must have to continually do it for the rest of your life or until you stop caring what you look like? This sounds like something Otis would start a thread about and if there is an existing thread about it please point it out and I will gayly move on.
Clippers.
I did some trimming last night. I didn't have alot anyways, but pretty sure I look ridiculous now since I ended up trimming more than I planned. At one point it looked like some kind of tribal symbol.

I love you too. And what kind of chest hair do sport? I'm curious, I feel like it might be cool.
Deep-pile shag, like a Seventies carpet.

Why would they call from a private line then bother leaving a message with no return number?
SERIOUSLY??
Yes, explain the reason.
Hey GB...Our baseball season ended last night. We were the Reds. I've got a really nice Reds hat with a black bill that's a little too big for me. I'll throw it in the dishwasher and mail it to you if you want it. Or any other Reds fan out there that might want a free hat.
Hey, thanks for getting back to me, bud.Just put the hat in the donation box for Goodwill with about 45 T-shirts and some slacks that are a little too snug. One more week in this townhouse and then a yard I can mow and a house without shared walls.
Might want to have saved those for when you start biking and you start to lose some weight, tubby.

One of my paralegals (not one of the dying ones) is graduating tomorrow, getting a college degree at the age of 43. She has two daughters in college that she raised by herself. She works full time. And she is graduating as valedictorian of her class. We had a little surprise celebration for her today, and I told her how incredibly proud I was. She told me that the only reason that she went back to school was because when I first came to the company, I had talked to her about it and inspired her to do it, making her believe for the first time that she really could achieve it.

So,

Sorry buddy, didn't see this. Thanks for the offer. I'll be okay that I didn't get that used hat from the guy from the internet.I would have liked to see some of these t-shirts, though.

Mine is scattered with small concentrations around my nipples.

I only have a few. I name them like hurricanes. So far I am up to Jaqueezzella in the alphabet.

We're doing our end of the year kick-ball party (Stu > Hi!) for adults and kids tonight, with BBQ, adult beverages, etc. Wine and beer will be there as will margaritas. Do you mix-masters have a good idea for something I could make in a blender and bring with me to share? I don't want to just create another margarita concoction, but I'd like to bring something fun for tonight. Perfect weather for it. Who are my drink masters? Cos? Homer? Cross Eyed?
While we're on this subject...going to the beach next week...anyone have an easy pool/beach drink recipe that is refreshing?

This has been one of the worst, if not the worst, work-weeks of my career for a variety of reasons (the least of which is half my staff apparently being on death's door). In the midst of that, I have this:

There was vietnamese place next to me that made this honeydew limeade drink that was prefect with vodka. Here's a description: "The most popular item is the honeydew limeade, made with lemongrass, ginger and kaffir lime, and garnished with mint and chunky melon bits. You might be inclined to spike it with vodka"

So can one of the smart lawyers, ie not a PD from Arizona, read this, and tell me if the judge in question did violate the 14th amendment with his ruling(s)?

Hi Jim Tan charitable souls. My wife and I are walking in the Autism Speaks walk for Puget Sound in September. We're lucky in that our son is considered on the mild end of the spectrum, but in his pre-school classes, we see some cases that really tug at the heart strings. One of the keys in treating Autism is early detection and therapy but there's not nearly enough awareness in that area. If you are so inclined to help Autism Speaks address those critical factors and want to make a donation you can do so here.

You can also sign up for doing your own walk in your own city and support the charity that way. You can do that here.
Promise not to bump this every couple of days but I had a request to surface it.

I have a busy weekend. I am leaving in a few hours to drop my dogs off at my parents. Then me and Mrs Stoneys will head to the Drag Strip (Pittsburgh Raceyway Park) for the weekend to watch my FIL run is 1968 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. Mrs Stoneys will be camping out tonight at the track. I have to head back to my parents as I am in a golf outing tomorrow morning with my father. After the golf outing, I will be heading back to the track and will camp out then.

Here is a video of the Dart from almost 2 yrs ago at Norwalk, OH. This run was the first time my FIL ever ran under 10 seconds.

He ended up running another 9.988 and then ran a 9.970. There was nothing better than seeing the joy on his face when he got back to the RV/campsite/pit area. I am not sure if he will be able to do it again at PRP as the track isn't as smooth as Norwalk's. But it's gonna be a fun time.

So, to all you father's in the Jim Tan. have a fun weekend.

What kind of food delivery options are available to you all?

I am starving, forgot to bring a lunch, and Romo is "in the middle of something" and can't bring me lunch. A cruise through Yelp shows me that the only places nearby that deliver are pizza and Chinese (NTTAWWE, I'm a big fan of both, but would prefer to go a little healthier if I could). Is this normal, or am I just in a bad food city? Would kill for someone to bring me a plain ole turkey sandwich at this point.
