Checking in from Port Aransas, TX. I think I've reached the perfect combination of constantly being drunk, hungover, tired, sunburned and waterlogged that signifies a real beach vacation.

JR and I are sharing a bed. That kid must be the most violent sleeper ever.

 
Every day I have my summer school students write a couple of paragraphs in their "journal". Today's topic was "What job would you like to have 10 years from now". One kid said doctor but his 'plan B' was to work at Taco Bell.

Someone at my office this week used the term "carefrontation." I stopped in my tracks and demanded to know where that came from. The guilty party said it was from his previous employer, and that they used that term quite frequently when describing a meeting that addressed a delicate subject.

I mentioned this to the new girlfriend after she complained about someone using "efforting" at her office. She told me if anyone ever used "carefrontation" in her presence she would punch them in the throat.

I officially love her.
