I just took my entire staff to a 2 hour lunch. I had two beers. They all had iced tea. They make me sad.

I'm in the middle of a stretch of something like 9 days out of 10 of having my daughter. My gf keeps having to "sneak" over late at night after my daughter has gone to bed (don't want to expose my daughter too much to her as things are still pretty early on). A bunch of people I work with are losing their jobs (im the only one in mu group of 6 that is keeping my job) as my company tries to reduce head count. And I have 2 happy hours tonight to try to get to before picking up my daughter. I could really stand to have a session right now, but it's just not in the cards.

In other news, I'm gonna take my daughter to the Louisville Slugger museum and the science museum down there this weekend. That should be fun. Plus our hotel has a pool which she will want to swim in for at least 2 hours each day hopefully this can be a fun weekend that she'll look back on fondly as she grows up

I was pretty damn good at being a substitute crossing guard for 20 minutes today. NOT ONE KID was hit by a car.

Although this one lady decided that since I was all the way across the street from her it was OK for her to sneak through the crosswalk. I didn't get in front of her car but I did yell out Hey! We're walkin' here!" a couple of times. Oddly enough your typical 4th grader doesn't get "Midnight Cowboy" references.

I mean most of the ####### threads in the FFA were recycled garbage that had been posted a billion times since the 1980s. Its still bad, but wow.I see the forum has devolved into the "let's from a clique within a clique for just the coolest people" with GMTAN. Yeah, haven't seen that one before. Reminds me of the Dojo website from the 1990s which spun off as the coolest people from nh. Or nitro9 which spun off radw in the early 1990s.

So I have another wedding tomorrow night, yet another cousin. My cheap ### uncle's daughter. He used to be so cool when I was a kid, is paying for it. This uncle used to play guitar in a band, smoke weed, hell, he took me to see KISS when I was 8. Somewhere along the line he got screwed up, including converting to the Baptist religion for a few years. His name is Tom and my other uncle always called him Tom the Baptist which still makes me giggle. Anyhow, NO BOOZE, they aren't even serving soft drinks. His solution to satiating us drunks? He is having his BIL set up a bar in his van across the street from the reception hall. This should be interesting. Needless to say, the check/gift amount is going to reflect this horrible travesty.

Also: I poured olive oil on a ribeye, covered it with sea salt and ground some pepper on it, then grilled it for five minutes a side on high. Then I ate it with a little crumbled bleu cheese and a cold Molson. Might be the bestest easiestest deliciousest meal I've ever ####### made.

I use olive oil too, but only cuz I'm too lazy to buy any other type just for grilling/searing. It smokes the hell out of my kitchen though.
