GM's thread about nothing (35 Viewers)

I got really sick and tired of you all making fun of me for being so pale, so on Saturday, I worked in my backyard all day long absent a shirt. I also felt like sunblock was inhibiting my progress, so I went no protection for the bulk of the afternoon. I added some sunscreen later, but I suppose I missed a few areas. :bag:

Your words are hurtful, people. Not as hurtful as this sunburn, but hurtful.

:lmao: Great, now K4 and YSR are going to hate me because they didn't get to see your butt

Well, lucky for you I don't know how to delete stuff on Imageshack, so basically just reported myself for abuse. We'll see if that kills it.

I sure hope Rude is able to find some shade and relief from this oppressive heat in the Pac NW. Stay cool, GB. Sorry about the record high temps upon your arrival.

was crazy driving in on Saturday as the temps hit 100 just about 2 hours east of Seattle, but then it dropped down to about 75 or 80 by the time we pulled into the city.I'm loving it here so far. We're really in a great spot. Going to be tough to pack up and leave in December.

I remember when I first moved up here in '96 I took a trip to the eastern part of Oregon/Washington and was SHOCKED to learn how desolate and hot it could get. Parts of Eastern Washington looked like West Texas. It can get pretty nasty there in July/Aug.But zip over the Cascades and WA LA, perfecto. We got up to 90 here on Sunday and it was the lead story on the local news. :lmao:

AC finally kicked on in car on my way home today. Picked up one of those charger kits since it has not been re-charged in the five years. Should be fun.

I'm sure Drifter has mentioned this already, but Salty's is exceptional, especially if you can get a table outside. Great view of downtown and excellent seafood. Man, you're gonna love it up here. Especially in the summer.

I put an AC unit in on the house in 2007. It has never once been serviced. I'm having a guy look at it next week. Can I run it safely or should I wait until the tech looks at it next week? I know next to nothing about A/C units....or much, for that matter.

Based on your dryer lint story I'd advice you replace the filter. Then start it up.

Changed the filter this weekend. I cranked it both days and it got the place cooled down, but it just runs continuously and I'm not sure that's what I want, is it? I have a tech coming out next week to service it. We're also having the ducts cleaned out. Getting there one step at a time.HR Derby betting chat? Awesome. Tanner must be at Luby's or something cuz he just loves this sort of talk.

My daughter has watched Home Alone twice in the past week and every time she takes a drink of something, she makes a joke about Fuller wetting the bed :lmao:

Not gonna Hipple here. But seeing Marvin call out somebody on their ride is hysterical, seeing that he's still rocking the Conestoga he used to escape the Donner party.

A few years back, I would sometimes quote Fuller's posts with "Go easy on the Pepsi!"After a few times, he PM'd me asking what was up....I had to tell him it was a line from Home Alone. I had forgotten about it when I met him down here in NOLA...it would've been a good laugh to bring up

The outside unit is running the whole time or the air inside is blowing the whole time? Do you have the thermostat on "ON" or "AUTO"?
