So speaking of burnt out litigators (I know that was from a couple days ago, but seeing fish in here reminded me), I had a depo the other day where the guy representing the deponent/plaintiff in this stupid little fender bender personal injury case very clearly did not want to be there. Which I get - he only gets paid when she recovers, this case isn't worth much, she seems like kind of a pain, and the longer he is sitting there listening to my questions, the less chance he has to sign a new case to earn more.
But he was so over the top with his body language showing his boredom/frustration, that I just made a game of it. He would look at the ceiling and :blewsout:, so I would say "let me take you back to your prescriptions, I asked about today, but what about the day of the accident? What about since then?"
He would run his hand through his hair and sigh, I would "realize" that I hadn't asked about her employment history.
I'm not really sure what my point is here. But it was fun.
