Had a great fishing trip on the Columbia with my son and FIL. Despite the fact that I was old enough to be the father of our guide, it was a really cool experience and a perfect day out on a boat with the backdrop of the River Gorge, kite surfers and all sorts of wildlife. I don't fish a whole lot, so I really enjoy the guided trips when I go. We caught 4 really nice steelheads, but only got to keep 2 of them. We'll grill them up tonight. Towards the end of the trip, we watched as a Bald Eagle circled above us and then swooped into the drink for a nice fish dinner. Watching him glide over the surface of the water with the fish in his talons was a thing of beauty. Believing that Eagles travel in pairs, I asked with the excitement of a pre-teen girl possibly spotting Justin Beiber if the majestic white bird soaring in behind the Eagle was his mate. Our guide chuckled back "No, dude...that's a seagull".

All in all a perfect day. Feel free to make fun!

After a late night of GM's nothing, I woke up at 6:00 a.m. with a #### ton of nervous energy. See, I hate flying. I have a huge fear of it. It's not the flying, per se... it's the 30,000 foot plummet to my death. And even if there is no plummet, the whole idea of defying one of the MOST NATURAL LAWS is unnerving to me. So, this morning, I'm sending emails to my family and the BF's family, letting them know where the wills are located and all other pertinent details.Such a terrible way to start a Saturday.

This is pretty crazy. You realize that like a brzillion people fly every day without incident, right? Do you understand it's a totally irrational fear?

Yes, I realize that. It's just something that's happened to me as I've gotten older. And on Thursday morning I will sit in my seat and rationalize with myself and give myself pep talks, etc., but at the end of the day, I can't control how my body reacts. I've mentioned in here a couple of panic attacks I've had over the last few years, one of which was on our flight to Acapulco for our honeymoon in May of last year. I'll begudgingly take a Xanax (not crazy about the way that stuff makes me feel), but the whole experience is just miserable in the truest sense of the word.I guess there really isn't any way to explain it to people who don't have the same fear.

I hate xanax....can't stand the stuff and i've given it more tries than i care to admit. maybe instead of mailing cosjobs dogs a batch of wonder goods i should just send them to you? you'll be flying high while you're flying high and everything romo does will be just so funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny.

Absolutely. I do it all the time. Keep in mind that it is a slightly watered-down version of the game. You get few maps, fewer weapons and perks, and the graphics are obviously not as good. But the basic game-play is the same. Fun stuff.

Well it is a "one at a time" type of game but it's still fun to watch. Just turn of the chat feature so your sons don't have to hear how everybody they're playing against had sex with their mother.

Does that mean those of us on the west coast will get to see it tomorrow?Last night, I got home at 10pm. I saw track on the olympics and was pretty pleased for about 5 minutes. Then they switched back to Gymnastics for the next 2 hours. Ugh. I know more about the parents of the female gymnists than I do any other athlete not named Phelps. Enough. I did enjoy it when they switched back to the high jump and essentially fast forwarded the entire event in about 12 seconds before sending it back to more gymnastics. NBC sucks. Living on PST has been brutal for Olympic viewing.

Anyhow, I thought I was going to have all of the testing done today but I need to wait until Friday for an MRI before I get the full picture. However the good news as it stands right now is that it looks like I will be able to wear a neck brace for the next 3-4 months and avoid surgery on my spine.

I promise a full recap when I get more info but until then, I am told to take it easy. The ladies in the office will tell you I am much more like like a hummingbird or Speedy Gonzalez than a sloth or so "taking it easy" is pretty difficult for me.

Holy crap. I've never said higher than a 7 just because I didn't want to look like a #####. Two notables with the doctor today, see I make Mrs. SLB spearhead all of these things. Doctor looks at me ans asks if I have any questions. So I ask him about driving and then just draw a blank. Mrs. SLB then asks if I can walk in the mornings like I'm used to. No. :( Then she tells him I need another script and the last one I had was for percocet. He says that's too addictive and would write me one for vicodin. I've gone through 30 percs and 26 vic in the last week and still can't sleep. Oh, yeah, then she says, and I quote "he wants to know about having sex". The doctor looks at me and says sorry I'm taken. Then he looks at Mrs. SLB (not sure if the text pic I sent earlier actually went through or not but she was looking hot particularly her large breastciles) and says with sort of a Rico Suave voice "just make sure there aren't any gymnastic like stunts involved" opens the door (I couldn't see his face but I'm pretty sure he winked at her) and left.
