GM's thread about nothing (41 Viewers)

Dylan had to be at the hospital at 6:30 and the bus for school doesn't arrive until 8:20 so I had to wait with Cal. They admitted Dyl before I arrived but Mrs. SLB said he was acting really goofy after they started his pain medicine. He insisted on putting stickers on her shirt/boobs. He also kept slapping his face saying "why are you hitting yourself?"

Any way we can get Dylan doing a shot vid?

Just noticed something on an attendance report/email. We've got a kid with the first name Nolan and the middle name Ryan.

This is the least amount I've prepared for fantasy football ever. I don't know half the guys on the list anymore
:goodposting: I finally cracked open the laptop last night, downloaded the VBD excel thing, and... watched the Ranger game and drank whiskey.

I'm hoping to magically acquire some knowledge before the auction, which is about 3 hours away. Doesn't help that today has been my busiest work day in months.

Just becoming more and more disinterested in magic football every year. I am looking forward to the $2 pints and free food though. Here's to another 4-8 season... :banned:
I enjoy the gambling part of it. Plus we have side bets too to make it more interesting.
Tell me more about this.

Good Lord. Girls in their 20s are so attractive and well dreseed and smell good and have nice skin and are so full of energy. And girls in their 30s are so sure if themselves and forward and easy. But luckily I've been married for 10 years and don't have to worry about chasing girls that might be morally ambiguous and up for certain illicit activities.

Oh, and hooray beer.
:goodposting: Austin girls are especially friendly. :banned:

FYI Everyone here knows Disco Stu and Bogart are cool folks to cornhole with, but unialias is now also top-rated on the cosmeter,

However next time, i will insist on cabs home. I have no desire to spend the night in the Dallas county pokey.
Big fan of the Cos. Couldn't have asked for better company all around on Wednesday.Agree regarding the cab situation. I'm a little embarrassed about the stubbornness to drive considering what kind of shape I was in. Appreciate you helping me find my way back to the highway in my own city. :bag:

I think I did a shot video with Stu after a pub crawl this year. It's blurry and I look like a complete moron, which is pretty typical. Starting tomorrow off with a local brewery tour at noon, followed by lots and lots of drinking afterwards.. Will try to sneak in a shot video or two if I can.
I texted that video directly to Homer and Frosty. Homer said he'd "do bad things to tour videographer". Frosty called him (or me) a dickbutt.
hand sanitizer. :lmao:
:lmao: GD Bob, that was wonderful.Done hippling for now.

Just a friendly heads-up.

GPJ just absolutely destroyed some rockhead in the Sons of Anarchy thread. Not for the faint of heart. Plenty of blood and gore.

My wife has a kid named Kyle in her class this year. Pronounced with the "y" like a long i and a silent e. Kyle is a girl.
Yeah...the hijacking of gender specific names is just getting worse. I'm waiting for people to start naming their daughters Jake and Dave and Adam.

We have the normal entry fee, transaction fees & weekly league loss penalty like most leagues. To make it even more interesting most of us make individual bets team to team. Most of them are a $10 weekly bet for most points then a $100-$200 yearly bet points or record.

Can we talk football in here instead of going to the Shark Pool?
Sure.Tip #1 - if you're a GMTANer in my auction league and plan on starting Witten or Bailey tonight, you might want to check the league signup link I've sent twice some time before kickoff.

Will answer yours?
Your RBs are strong and you have an elite TE of course. But you are weak at QB and WR. Thankfully those are the easiest areas to fix with the waiver wire. Think Cam Newton in 2011, Vick in 2010. Look for fast guys that can catch and with good QBs throwing to them on the waiver wire. And get Gates before its too late.

guaranteed :moneybag: for magic football

God I miss football.

In a weird way, I can't wait for Saturday nights where I get drunk in my recliner, watch football, gamble, and post in the random threads.

:nerd:

Found out this morning that HR's response to my boss's request to give small (less than $10K) spot-bonuses to three of my team was that we should give them some extra time off (not possible as they don't get a chance to take the vacation they already have) and maybe some "restaurant gift certificates".

Then two of my paralegals got into a loud shouting match with each other in full earshot of several people.

Then another of my paralegals quit.

Banner day, really.

I know a lot of you here avoid the political threads, so I wanted to share Norville's brilliance from the Democratic Convention thread

Doctor Detroit

Not sure how anyone can hate Michelle Obama, she's a quality woman.

So hot, yet so deeply touching. I'm crying and masturbating at the same time. Very awkward for the rest of the family here.
Based on FB, it looks like NB's mom passed away recently (today?) for any of you who want to send him some TPW.

I have a Romoerection right now.
:gooodposting:What happened to running date? And what the #### is a running date?
Girl and I were going to meet and go running. She decided it was still too hot. We both decided we ate too much dinner. Postpone till weekend.
Crashed and burned, huh Mav?
I was secretly very happy to postpone. I think I would have thrown up had I run tonight. Plus I got to see the Rangers win and the Cowboys win.

Finished a lengthy, draining arbitration today. Our case centered around a claim that a product that is installed in millions of homes is defective. There are numerous cases in half a dozen states being litigated on the same issue, as well as a nationwide class action pending certification. Because we had a little different approach at it and we ended up in arbitration, rather than in a court, our case is the first in the nation to be completed.

We won't get an award for 30 days. If we win, we're the leading attorneys in the nation on this issue. If we lose, we pretty much screw everyone else. I'm taking two days off to spend time decompressing and getting drunk.
