GM's thread about nothing (40 Viewers)

So one of the twins threw a tube of diaper cream in the dryer unbeknownest to to Mrs. TF, who proceeded to turn the dyer on. Probably an estimated $500ish worth of clothes in there are ruined. Clear oily splotches.

She wants to throw the clothes away, I say bring them to goodwill. She says:

Her: "It's rude for us to bring them to goodwill, there are stains on them. They'll think we're looking down on them"

Me:  No it's rude for you think that there's nobody out there who wouldn't want to wear a pair of $150 jeans with some stains on them.

I'm right...right?
Try soaking them in some Dawn for a bit to see if that will take the stain out.Worth a shot before giving up on them - might not get it all out but should help a bit
I've heard this from one other person before. Guess where he worked?
Its not where he worked, its if the method worked.

I'm getting drunk with the biggest bunch of entitied, ignorant, racist Obama haters on the planet. My wife is begging me not to napalm the whole room. It's killing me to not make these people that I really do care about not feel stupid. Because if would be really ducking easy.

Stand back a moment, then take 3-4 shots and then come to a rational, considered decision on how to respond..

Holy duck. A bunch of people born on third and thought they hit a triple. Jesus, are they really going to push me to vote for Obama? If cos were here he would push me to nuke the room. Oof.

Tried washing them again. The kicker was the tube exploded and the heat of the dryer really just embedded the stuff in there. Impossible
Brake cleaner. It works.

I'd go with what Cos recommends. There's really nothing bad that could come from being rational and considered.

Jeez Damon. This is such easy picking. Just told my sister in law that I don't talk politics with people I like. She first looked confused and then looked scared.

Oh god. One of them just referenced Obama 2016. Holy ####. There are people in this country and my life is related to them.

Make extra breakfast. Bringing both boys. They love biscuits and eggs.I don't think they have any trailer parks in Round Rock, so the Bentley family is not involved in this discussion.

So confused right now.
I think Abe missed either the drunk thread or the Romney thread because only a moron would ramble on about politics in here.
Truck?some slack
I don't even know what's going on here.
Bentley was treating Abe like you do. I have utmost respect for you, but Colin is a proven good friend to me. So when He gets piled on, I have these horrible internal conflicts. Its hard being a sensitive compassionate reprobate.

I'm all for a good piling-on, but being in a room full of Republican ####heads doesn't warrant anything of the sort.

no not really, I hope. Their employees sort thru everything and what is inappropriate to sell or give way they bundle up and sell in bulk to paper or rag makers or others who re-purpose them. It all adds up to $ for the charity. Its not like you're handing it to a poor person and telling them to wear it.
