GM's thread about nothing (35 Viewers)

Truck, what are we going to do about our Big East?
There's not much that can be done, it's pretty much dead. I think the good hoops programs are still going to be fine. Even as the 4th/5th/6th best hoops conference, there's no reason why a team can't recruit well and thrive within it. Memphis in 2008 and St. Joe's in 2004 did great coming out of mid-majors.But football...Jesus. There's just no fixing it. Connecticut and Cincy just need to wait until the ACC gets raided again, and hope they get a magical ticket.

So i was diagnosed yesterday with Sixth Cranial Nerve palsy. Basically double vision due to weak muscles in my right eye because of a vascular event. Anyone have any experience with this? I asked if wearing a neck brace would alleviate my symptoms. My humorless Asian neurologist said no. My wife looked at me like I was crazy.
As of this past Tuesday I'm cured. Damndest thing. Neuro guy said I was one of his faster recoveries. He said it was an early xmas present. I said are you allowed to say xmas to your patients? He said, I can say anything I damn well want to, good luck! The eye thing really freaked me out. I'm down 15#'s since Halloween. Working out 3 days a week and eating my veggies. That cruise over xmas is gonna kill me.
Great to hear! But I have to say, I first read that as Negro guy.

I'm too tired.

:bag:
Oh wow. I'm not the only one. I just wasn't going to admit it. :bag:
wTH??

At Trader Joe's this morning, another shopper asked me if "ale" was a type of beer.
Well, all beer is either an ale or a lager, so the correct answer is "yesno"
Stout?
Stouts are ales
Urbanhack nerded you to the punch on this one.I did some internet research and now I know more about yeast!
yeah, should've read the rest of the thread before replying
When I look at your avatar sometimes it looks to me like you're holding a rocket launcher on your shoulder.
Whoa, he isn't.
:lmao: WTMF. I'm not a member of Hamas, guys.

Also, I confiscated a bunch of Mrs. SLB's jewelry about three years ago. She stopped wearing it and even with the family discount, it wasn't cheap. I've kept it in the vault at my cousin's store for safe keeping since then. I decided today she was going to get jewelry for Christmas.

Here's what she's getting:

A pearl necklace (hehe) with pearl earrings & a white gold and pearl ring.

A white gold, diamond & emerald bracelet. Emerald earrings & and emerald ring. The earrings & ring are yellow gold but they said they can dip them in white gold for me so they match.

A gold braclet with sapphires plus sapphire & diamond earrings.

Sometimes having a mate with ADD pays off.
:lmao: Rules
 I'm having everything cleaned, put in new boxes and wrapped. Not half assing it here.

:lmao: :lmao:This is a rep. See, when I started in this business 20 years ago, I had a client that needed a furniture line I couldn't get. So I looked in the Yellow Pages, found somebody that did, and called them up. Got this gal's husband, worked out a deal and both made a little money. Since then my company and his have done dozens of jobs. But he sucked at communication and working so he punted to his wife. We clicked because we both are detailed oriented and just like getting stuff done. Closing the deal. She always gave me this vibe though and she sells to my GB/client's company too and he said the same thing. This isn't some hot broad with giant cans trying to influence, I see that #### a mile away. This has been building for a good 7 years. I'm going to go jam my penis in the shredder now.
You're on your way!
:lmao: I don't want to be.

Seriously, you should get that checked out.

I have a confession. My wife and I do not have a social life. Between me coaching 2 sports and having 4 children all involved in some sort of activity, we have no time, or desire to have a social life. We used to do stuff with friends on the weekends but that was years ago. Now our weekends are filled with going to some game or practice or school function. Even though some of these things are want to do's, most are have to do's.

Coaching football and baseball takes up the better part of 10 months a year, with the middle of November to the middle of January my time "off". When we do have time with nothing to do, we prefer to do nothing.

I see that the FBG life is filled with bars, video games, wild women and song. I have become an outsider, but I know I am not alone!!

Who else is socially stunted? Don't be afraid!

Not sure if this went through but to anybody in the GroupMe thing I had to delete it. Sucker was killing my battery.
Well...bye.
<_< Guess that's why I haven't been getting any texts lately.
Oh normal texting is fine but that app had to go.
This is all GM's fault.
Again. Doesn't some blame lay with K4 and her "please don't text me while I am gallivanting around Europe as the data plan is too expensive" request?

:hey:But I like it that way. I would prefer to sit and drink beer in my own house and grill something or watch tv over just about any "social" activity available.

Been there, done that. One of the bonuses of getting old is being done with stuff like that. Another is having a kid old enough to pick you up from the bar.SUCKA MC!

No offense, but I always thought that drinking alone was pathetic, so I stopped a while ago. Not judging at all because I have plenty of friends who drink by themselves and I got no problem with it.

Interesting. I usually drink alone. My wife might have a glass of wine one or two nights a week. My 2 year old doesn't drink.

From the sounds of things you don't function to well in social situations, gb.

As my two youngest sons got older I developed a conscious and I just felt guilty about drinking in front of them.
