Saw some bluegrass band on Conan the other night which is odd because I never watch Conan and I'm not a huge bluegrass guy. But these Punch Brothers were pretty good. Not a Mumford & Sons fan by any stretch, but they had that sort of twang, only the guy could really sing.
They do a couple cool Radiohead covers. I'm not really into the Mumford & Sons either, but I like the Punch Brothers.
If you like this type of stuff, try The Devil Makes Three.
I like these guys.

Dumb joke re: blackberry. I'll probably be the last guy on earth to buy an iphone. I have a 16GB chip in my blackberry that holds most of my music and that's what I use to listen to new tunes.
Dude, I don't even know how to do that. I started a thread a few weeks ago asking if I should get my wife an ipod if she already has a droid. I still don't know. Someone help me here with easy to follow bullet points. If my wife wants to buy/rip music in mp3 format and listen either on her droid or a speaker, what would she need to do?
Whoa.

Courier drivers about to make me insane. As if I'm not busy enough already I have to deal with these jokers. Yesterday I had a new location opening in PA but instead of delivering their order to the address we gave them, the driver decided to go to another location in the same city and leave it there. I also had another guy in MD tell the client they had to come unload their own stuff from his truck because "he didn't get paid enough" to bring all of the stuff they ordered to their office. :wall: :wall:

I also decided to take a quick break to take the fam to buy a Christmas tree. Now I usually try to find some Mom & Pop place but I was busy so F it, lets got the church lot right up the street. I've never bought a tree from a church, ever, so I don't know if this is par for the course but they were CRAZY overpriced. A 7-8 foot tree, that we paid $55 for at a M&P last year, had a price tag of $135 on it. :lmao: So I load the family up, the boys are going freaking insane and driving my already stressed out self nuts. I admit, I was yelling my head off at everybody to STF. Of course that didn't help. We finally ended up with one from Lowe's for $61. I can't wait to have a drink soon.

Well, back to work.

You know that website that rhymes with 'foof' that some of the guys from here like to frequent? Does any Devil Makes Three music live over there?

blackberries play mp3 format fine. GM, you tell me how to get you the files and I'll get you whatever you want.
Yeah, I actually have no issues with my blackberry playing MP3 files. Wouldn't mind some more Punch Brothers music or anything else mentioned in here or akin to them that I've been missing out on. Maybe we could use dropbox to transfer music?

My understanding is that most of those types of sites have most anything you could ever want, and if they don't you can make a request to the membership.

I saw Pere Ubu open up for the Pixies in 1991(?) Snoozeville.
I saw the Pixies 15 years after their relevancy and thought the same thing.
You're dead to me.
You sure? I'm pretty sure I'm the only iDude here who could introduce you to my friend* Kim Deal, with whom I hang out sometimes.**
Pretty sure Kim Deal's in Tanner's top five.
Maybe 20 years ago.

I'll be in Chicago 12/25-12/28...but I don't know if anyone is there anymore.
I'll be here in Bakersfield if anyone is interested. From now until...probably forever. Just in case anyone wants to get together. Because I'll be here. In Bakersfield.
I'll be in Vegas for a week in January. Come on out. Or, we could meet halfway in some ####hole!

We had a sweet family moment at the house this morning. Angrywife got out the fisher price nativity scene last night and set it up for the boys. They were both excited to see it this morning but not in the mood to share. When I left the house for work, yuke had the angel gabriel in hand and jr had baby jesus and they were each beating the other over the head with their respective symbols of peace on earth and goodwill to all.
One year our nativity included Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, a giraffe, two wise men and the garbage truck driver.

At our department holiday lunch* today, I won tickets to the company suite for a Kid Rock concert.

*Avid readers of my posts will recall that the company disallowed company-sponsored lunches this year and are allowing us to search for gnomes instead, but my boss paid out of his own pocket for our lunch for 50+ at a good restaurant. Pretty nice.
