My buddy came over to sweat the end of the games with me (would have been an even bigger hit if the Skins lost, but at least the BAL teaser hit and "my" team won). Just got back from pounding a bucket of beers at the bar in a little over an hour.
Just put in for my second withdrawal from SB
ETA - props to GM for pimping the Blazing 5 so hard. Made me pay attention to it more and eventually decided to bet them every possible way. 4-1 weeks are so much more exciting than 3-2 ones almost had 5-0 for the mega-week, but I'll take it

With Thanksgiving being focused around my mom, my day's birthday (65th) was pretty much neglected.
He's also retiring in early January - my dad is the HR manager over multiple locations in the northeast and typically works from ~5am to ~5pm and has done so for the past 15+ years. On top of that he is very active in the Knights of Columbus and was the head guy in the state for the last 2 years and now is taking on more of a national level roll. So he stays super super busy...busier than I could ever imagine.
My mom's birthday is in early January as well, so it would be good to have at least something relevant to her as well.
With all that and Christmas, I feel like I have to do something big for him/them.
When they were out here for thanksgiving, my dad mentioned that they had this wine at a restaurant and both loved it, but they can't find it in stores. He even sent me that picture in an email with "great wine" as the subject. So I feel like I need to get a case of that or something for them.
My dad also loves cribbage and enjoys the occasional glass of bourbon and a nice cigar. The thing is, I had been getting him bottles of Woodford for any occasion (that's my go to because I took him on a tour for his 60th birthday and I don't know when the last time was that I saw him enjoy himself that much), but when I was home earlier this year, I saw that he still had one full one and almost all of another bottle.
They are also very devout Catholics, so things relevant to that or the Knights of Columbus would probably excite them.
I'm not loaded by any means (child support,) but could swing something in the $200-300 range
So...any thoughts?

My ex-niece is pregnant and good for at least 3 FB posts a day. Some combination of joy/bragging/complaining/begging for prayers/asking questions. She was a drama queen before, and now it's times infinity. Once she asked for prayers basically for having gas, while #####ing about getting the nursery ready, she was pulled from the News Feed.

Today wasn't very eventful in Kristagua. Julio and I went shopping. Walked the 6 or 7 blocks then caught a cab back. He brought some kind of glorious food with him. It was like fried pieces of chicken with cole slaw. That's not doing it justice, as it was delicious. I may have corrupted him by turning him on to the Wonder Of Nature that is Sambuca. Plus he had like 3 rum and cokes. Showed me pics of his kid (adorable) and invited me to have dinner with his family later in the week.
I've noticed that, if the door is open, people have no issues walking up and trying to sell you something. First was a guy on a bike selling water. I think Isaac Newton's head would've exploded if he could've seen the way this guy had 5 gallon bottles of water balanced on the bike.
The next visit is the one I regret not extending. Two chicks selling religion. I only caught a glimpse of one, but talking evangelical chick was a cutie. I was running around doing #### and wasn't thinking about shtick potential.
