Moving my mom to Hospise care down the street for her last few days. The flu epidemic has made it where there just are not enough rooms in the hospital. I had hoped she would be at peace by now, but she is going out on her terms.
Sorry GB.Hang in there. :(

Think I got it figured out, thanks fellas/ladies. Can't wait to see you all there and meet some new folks.
what's the mystery solution?
I hope it involves a rickshaw
They have bicycle rickshaws on Sixth Street. We are totally getting hammered and riding in one until someone hurls.
This is why I hitchhike everywhere.
What's your preferred method of payment? Booze, grass or ###?
My unrivaled skill as a raconteur is my currency.
### it is. Good to know.

My wife went back to work today so I took a half day off and am hanging out with Hazel. She and her mom are VERY bonded, so this should be interesting. No tears so far, but it's early in the ballgame. We need the money, but I hate that we have to do this. I know it has been very hard on my wife to go back.
My wife is less than 8 weeks from returning to work. Not looking forward to that day. Before having our first kid I didn't realize the benefit of having a parent stay home. I see it now, but doesn't make sense financially.

I have a syringe full of powdered graphite.
A pencil?
That would make more sense. I'm not talking about my Ray Jay Johnson either. No, I have a syringe full of graphite. Mrs. SLB just informed me this Pinewood Derby car needs to be finished for weigh in tomorrow.
Did you put the weights in front or back?
The back. Just added some fishing weights to get it to 140 grams. Patched it up and painted over said patch. Cal is still barfing so I'll cut him a little slack. However it is abundantly clear that he helped considerably with it. I'll make sure to take a few pictures and the GMTAN can try and pick his car out of the pack.

Hold off on the graphite until race day.
Rules say you can't. You turn your car over after it weigh in and can't do anything else to it.

:goodposting: Never thought I'd be the one to push for my wife to be a stay at home mom, but I think I am ready. Need a little more cheddah first, but as we all know enough is rarely enough.

Wow. Ok. When we had our races, it was like a pit crew to the side, Dads just making a mess with the graphite, me rewedging weights after each race just to keep them legal. Take the graphite with you just in case.

Rules have changed. We used to grease it up while it was sitting on the rail.

God bless Mrs. Ignoramus' heart. My phone rings. Her: "Hey I just passed a car on the highway and it looked like the front was smashed up and there was a guy laying on the shoulder of the highway. I'm not sure where I was... What should I do? Should I call somebody?"How the #### do women make it through life being so oblivious?

Have those of you that want a stay at home wife but don't have the money ever really looked at the numbers? We make 25% less than we did when AngryWife worked but we wasted 35% of our money on useless junk. So, now we are actually saving some money despite the pay cut.Since she's home, she also has time to find deals on groceries and toiletries and cook all our meals. I bring leftovers for lunch almost every day so we save money there. Obviously there's also a huge reduction in child care expense.

We found a nice hispanic nanny who is doing this for $5 an hour.

Romo criticism jumped the shark 5 yrs ago. He's nowhere near the top of the list of the Cowboys problems.
:goodposting:
Granted it's been 16 years since I lived in Dallas, but I can't imagine the Hardline on the Ticket taking it easy on Romo for throwing up in the clutch. Doesn't playoff winning matter anymore? What has happened to my city? God, they used to EAT Aikman up alive whenever he started fading in his career. And that was Aikman. Mr. Clutch. The guy who didn't barf on his jersey when the games mattered.
The Ticket burns plenty of segments on Romo, but they have also come to the conclusion that this offensive line is beyond bad, they haven't had a decent running back for Romo outside of Murray when healthy and MB3 for about 6 games, and zero depth on this team. That falls on poor drafting, poor free agent buys, and lack of overall player development. And that falls on Jerry. It's easy to point out Romo's failures, real easy, but this team is 4-12 this season with just about any other QB this year, and that QB probably doesn't finish the season.
I hate to say it, but maybe 4-12 is the best thing for this team? Get some high draft picks? Being stuck at 8-8 or 9-7 year after year is beyond frustrating. Now that I'm far away, I get a more objective view of the team and every summer, pundits talk about their abundance of talent on both sides of the ball, yet they come out and poop the bed and while we can point out bad offensive line play, lack of a running game or a defense that can't play consistently, do you know what I see? Tony Romo making horrendous decisions when the game matters most. That was true early in his career and it was true in his last game of this season. Again, that was nobody's fault but Tony on that last INT. That wasn't bad line play or lack of a running game. That was one boneheaded throw by a QB who has a history of boneheaded throws in crunch time. You can't be a great QB and be great for 3.5 quarters. You need to be great when the game counts the most and he seems to find a way to mess it up. No, not every game. He's won some nice games and put up some eye-popping stats. But you know what stands out to me? 1-3 in the playoffs and 32 years old. :shrug:I'd rather have Stoney Case as QB than Tony Romo.

I'm trying to preserve your future nomination as Ambassador to Thailand.

Tell Julio I love him.

Whoa, baby Malaise just created a small that rivals anything her dad can produce. My god...she could clear out a meeting of quadriplegics with this type of force. :jawdrop:

I'm disconnecting the Internet service in my house in fear that my wife will read this. We haven't ran the specific numbers, but we wouldn't realize the real savings in child care as my in-laws are watching our daughter for the first year. When that offer expires and we have more than one kid, the math will hard to ignore.

My wife stays home with our two and financially it sucks.

Any of you guys know anybody in Costa Rica? That's next to Nicaragua or something, right?
I do. Why?
Is that person or persons physically intimidating? I have some wrongs that need to be righted.
:lmao: :sadbanana:
Oh, i gotta get the back story to this one.
Sometimes businesses that have no laws holding them to being ethical can be unethical, and one of these just stole money from our good buddy Bert.
