Have those of you that want a stay at home wife but don't have the money ever really looked at the numbers? We make 25% less than we did when AngryWife worked but we wasted 35% of our money on useless junk. So, now we are actually saving some money despite the pay cut.Since she's home, she also has time to find deals on groceries and toiletries and cook all our meals. I bring leftovers for lunch almost every day so we save money there. Obviously there's also a huge reduction in child care expense.

Admittedly no. And I am terrible at planning this kind of stuff. I need to hire tiger fan to sort out my finances and make me rich.

inI had the opposite happen to us. We planned ahead and figured everything out for Mrs. TF to stay at home....2 weeks into it she wanted to go back to work. I'm sure twins had something to do with it..but now the boys are in day care and we've got extra cash.But to Bentley's point...assuming day care costs are high and your wife isn't making FBG money, there can definitely be an argument around how staying at home for a few years is a cost saver

1. At a restaurant last night, my wife mentioned that our server appeared to have piercings on her chest, just below the collarbone. I said "Why were you looking at her chest??" b. I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but seeing "GM" and "TAN" that close together seems odd.iii. A co-worker got a dog from a rescue program run in a Florida prison. In an e-mail, he mentioned the dog having "some odd commands consistent with prison life". I'm both curious and potentially horrified at what those might be.

I think single walled carbon nanotubes are the future of Pinewood Derby.

lolThe BS leader, my neighor melts lead for the weight. This is terribly disproportionate IMO and doesn't allow for proper balance. Mrs. SLB doesn't work except when they really need her. She only put in about 100 hours last year.The good:

She's almost always home to send the boys off to school and is always there when they get off the bus.

She volunteers for everything at their school and at least for now, they love that.

She sometimes finds time to do the laundry

The bad:

She tends to spend 3-4 hours a day at the gym. (This isn't all bad but then she'll come home and eat cheese or something else self defeating. Sort of defeats the purpose IMO)

She gets bored and spends money
