Does that car know how to party or what?On the way to dinner and a drunk GM is giving sage financial advice to UniAlias. Something about staying away from gambling and putting his money in a portfolio and letting it sweat.

Can we get some color commentary on the golf outing? Who went? Anyone play worth a ####?He was definitely not awake at golf. I think someone was maneuvering his body around like weekend at Bernie's.FIRST PERSON TO GO TO BED/PASS OUT SATURDAY NIGHT
YSR -300
Romo -150
GM -105
MRS SLB +100
COS +125
SLB +250
GUSTER +350
THORN +350
HOMER +600:finger:What about naps - how do those factor in? Didn't GM take a power nap in the bathroom at a Mellyhole?
There were very few hours where he was actually awake. But I believe he spent the night in a bathroom, so that was more like him turning in for the night than a nap.

) most every other impression I had was either off-base or completely wrong. And that was refreshing and awesome. Two days ago these people were all iFriends. Now I think of them as real friends and I hope they see me the same way. I'm sure Gadzooks, Uni, and Stu would be awesome to have lunch with next time I'm in D/FW just as Guster would be great to see if I make it to Cincy. I've got a visit to Homer's bar on my bucket list now just as I'd like to visit Uruk in D.C. one day and spend some time taking in the sights. To a man (or woman) this was truly the nicest group of people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And a special thanks to Cos and his wife who have been friends of mine for a while and never fail to make everyone in the room feel important, special, and gladly welcome. GaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyI am now home while the GMTANNERS eat BBQ. I won't be attneding the Super Bowl party so I thought it wise to reflect on the last 30+ hours. When Tim Berners Lee and Al Gore invented the internet, they did so as a way for science and security to be more easily shared between computers. I'm sure they didn't imagine that the web would be a place for people who otherwise would never know each other existed to come together. And when I started on these boards 9 years ago I never envisioned what they would eventually mean to me and the place the FFA specifically would have in my life. I can say without reservation that the last two days have been an amazing experience where what is "good" about the FFA and the internet as a whole has manifested itself in real ways. The people at Coshole are kind, they are funny, they are smart, and they are compassionate. They like to drink and smoke and swap stories and laugh. And they like to meet new people and have real conversations about real things. I never dreamed that the people I met were going to be normal and - better yet - good people who simply want to have a good time with their friends. Outside of GM's aversion to the sun (long sleeves and a hat despite it being 75 degrees and sunny) most every other impression I had was either off-base or completely wrong. And that was refreshing and awesome. Two days ago these people were all iFriends. Now I think of them as real friends and I hope they see me the same way.
