It's going to just be me and the two kids starting tomorrow at about 9am until Sunday around 3pm. There are no in-laws or my family available to help, and there's a birthday party involved somewhere in there as well. I'm not some incompetent father or anything so I think everything is going to work out ok, but there's part of me who that wonders what exactly my wife is going to be coming home to.

Mine left yesterday and is gone until Sunday at noon. To top that off, day care calls yesterday at 4 saying that one of the boys has a low grade fever and explosive diaherria....so I leave work to go pick them up. Right before I left work, I get an email saying the boss needs something by the end of the weekend....but b/c of the level of the report that he needs, I need to get some input from some other folks, so it basically has to be done today.

B/c of the fever, my boy has to stay at home today...so now on top of all that, I have to try to get this work done from the house while managing not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, but 6 different nasty diaper changes over the course of the day.

I literally just emailed him the report. My heart tells me to pour a drink, but my body just says take a shower and go to sleep.

We didn't go last year b/c the boys were only 1 and it literally sounded like hell on earth to me. But everyone else said they had a blast. we rented a bad ### house, with a huge ### playroom and all of the couples get along great and will be :drinking: and all of us are good cooks. There's a big yard area, where we'll put a bounce house. Plus, our boys are the youngest, so all of the other mom's will wax nostalgic over when their kids were that small, so they'll I should have extra time to just chill. It should be fun.

Any place with a rooftop deck in LoDo on a Sunny afternoon

Duffy's Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek for great burgers

Benny's on 6th avenue for good Mexican and Tequila

Head up to Boulder and do some hiking around Chatauqua Park. Stunning in the Spring.

Take a walk around the CU campus while you're there and check out the coeds. Stunning in the Spring

Go check our Red Rocks just to see it.

Golf at Arrowhead or Fossil Trace or both

Planning to spend more time in the surrounding areas then in Denver itself probably. Will go to Colorado Springs, Boulder, Ft Collins, and plan to get some spring snowboarding in somewhere (Breckenridge perhaps).

The only Avs game is Monday night and it's against Calgary. Two of the worst teams in hockey and tickets on stubhub are $6. Also the same night as NCAA final so might just buy cheap seats to check out a period or two.

Garden of the Gods is cool but otherwise the Springs suck balls.

So I think I mentioned that the CEO of my largest client was ousted after a merger a couple of weeks ago. Nobody would take his office over so they made the obvious decesion to give me his furniture free of charge. Believe me, the upgrade is cool and all but I would rather him still be with the company * a million.

I've been on a kick ### tear on my fitness pal...Almost down to my lowest weight of adulthood (not bad for a 34 YO). I'm avoiding beer as much as possible. And I enjoy sipping on liquor more for some reason....at least when I'm sitting in my chair at home. These are my favorite 2 months of living in NOLA (festival months)...so need to make sure I'm looking sharp....ya know, so those hipster chicks can be disappointed when I flash the ring
