GM's thread about nothing (14 Viewers)

We have a Wii. That Wii is in the garage where the boys play it. If I install netflix, can they watch movies out in the garage even if I don't have a cable feed into that TV? Would the Wii need to be synced up with our wireless router? Do I need a modem?
Modem, yes. You can get away with 1200 baud, but all the sharks roll with 1600.
Are you crazy? You might blow GM's mind here! ;)

also, is there any way to prevent Rosenhaus from sticking his face in front of the camera every time one of his clients gets picked?

why doesn't the guy just market himself and be done with it

I've got this real ditz of a student this year. Very sweet kid and will have no problems finding male companionship later on in life but not the sharpest taco in the sex pack.

Yesterday it was discovered that she didn't know that sheep and lambs were the same animal.

Today she said while drinking a bottle of Arrowhead water "I get nervous drinking mountain water because fish pee in it." Another girl told her "Kim, you know they clean and filter the water, right?" Kim comes back with "Then why does it say on the bottle 'pure mountain water'." The other girl just shook her head.

So I asked her "Kim, what kind of water do you think would be the cleanest?" Her response "Ice water because it comes from melted ice."
Think she has daddy issues?

They opened a Menard's pretty close to us last week. From everything I've read, I hope John Menard burns in hell. However they had this gun safe on sale for $47 and I couldn't help but stick it to the man. I only have a shotgun these days and my boys aren't even aware of it but I figure I should be responsible and keep it locked.

Still smug from ### banging big John out of 70 bucks or so I headed to Chik-Fil-A for a little celebration. I was surprised to see 4 cars ahead of me in the drive through but they banged them out in the usual fashion. As I approached the window, the cashier told me the broad in the car ahead of me paid for my food. The best thing is there wasn't anybody behind me so I wasn't guilted into returning the favor.

ANOTHER WIN FOR MILOS!!!
I've never heard anything about John Menard. I love their rebates and they have hot chicks working the checkout.

The hot blonde in the electric/lighting section of the Menards in Long Grove IL would fit in very nicely in the small bewbs thread. Every trades guy I know has her schedule memorized.

Tonight is the night for camping with the Boy Scouts. As if camping isn't bad enough, it's cold and has been raining. Oh the best part is that it's supposed to REALLY rain tonight. That may actually be good. Get the tent set up then just sit there and get bombed on the two water bottles of vodka I have prepared. Still considering faking cancer though.
Camping's awesome.

We've got a scout outing tomorrow night. A little nervous after last time, though.

I just performed surgery on myself.

This character has popped up in the last few days, and being a greasy hairy Eye-talian, this sort of thing comes up every few years at some point on my body. This time, it decided that dead-center of the forehead was the perfect location. Happily enough, as a bartender in front of hundreds of people this weekend, it's not like anyone will notice! WOOHOO!

Surgical supplies included a roll of gauze, a box of lancets, neosporin, antibacterial handsoap, toilet paper, a bottle of vodka, several beers, Marlboro Lights, and in case the lancets weren't good enough, a box of pushpins. And FYI, the pushpins weren't enough either and a paring knife was brought into the situation.

Anyway, I took a whole series of pictures at different stages of the event and was totally looking forward to grossing you all out. Especially the one with a pushpin sticking a full 3/4 inch into my forehead.

Took pics of that, and one of the massive blood loss being dribbled all over the sink, plus one of the bathroom mirror completely splattered with disgusting crap. Good times! But once things really started getting serious and I had gone through half a roll of gauze, I startyed to re-think things. It was so disgusting that it made me throw up.

So there you go. It was so nasty that it made ME puke...consider yourself lucky that I'm nice enough not to have taken video.
Not sure why you're fighting this. Everyone knows 14 year old girls love unicorns.

Gonna need a PM. I want to be her Facebook friend.

Yes. Along with avocado and fresh fruit. Way good. And the boys had fun chasing the chickens. It took some convincing to get JR to leave. Also had a moment of near disaster with an overstuffed can liner from an unnamed shady source that almost broke.

Album title imo

Date night tonight.

A student of mine is coming over to watch the Flaming Bird so I can take Mrs. CC to the Empire Brewing Company (TBS people> hi!). Then we're going to wander around the mall, do some clothes shopping (wish me luck on a changing room hummer), and then off to see a Ryan Gosling movie, in which he says, "Hey Girl, I may look fine but that guy sitting next you is amazing so you should let him give you a grump in the butt."

Ok, he doesn't really say that. But he should for the outrageous price I'm paying for movies these days, ### #### it.

Tee Ball Notes -

1. Cosmic joke of the year: Flaming Bird's team is the the ### #### Mets. First game of the year they play the Yankees.

B. I love this team. They play well, while still having the comedy of those kids. Such as -

B(i) The emotionally needy kid who cries when ANYTHING goes wrong, grabs his penis in the field, and clings to his mother's leg instead of waiting in line to bat.

B(ii) The big fat dopey kid who runs after the ball after he bats instead of heading to first.

Tres. Lawyer listing shtick is open source, right? :oldunsure:

IV. It's a great team experience when one of the fathers sees your Naked Lunch t-shirt and informs that the band Steely Dan was named after a dildo from the book. :lmao:

f. The only downer is there's only one team MILF to ogle, and I'm married to her. The crop is not good this season.

Glad that you've discovered a workaround on the whole no alcohol thing. I remember last years debacle like it was yesterday. Begging the kids to go home so dad could have a beer etc.

He's a jerkoff of the highest proportions.

:lmao: I didn't think I had to explain what "low density" meant to an engineer. I only bought high density bags myself.

Oh I got shipraced. Thankrfully it was really cold and raining off and on. I'm fairly certain that their one troop leader was nipping too. We stayed up an bull####ed while toking on numbers. Really cool guy. Spent three tours in Vietnam as well as Desert Storm. His full time "job" is helping the Scouts now. He showed me his schedule and he is doing something with different troops almost every day until the middle of June. He told me it's hard for him to sleep indoors since he has spent so much of his life living outside.

He hit the hay, the boys and Mrs. SLB were sleeping, and I decided to just sit outside the tent and finish my drink. (BTW, the air mattress broke so I got to sleep on the cold, cold, ground. ) As I weas doing so I could hear coyotes howling off in the distance. Then they were getting closer. Now I'm WIDE awake. Then I could hear them fighting very close by. So I poured another drink, lit a dart and did patrol. About 1am I caught one of them trying to sneak up on a tent and I chased him off. Crazy. I about depleted my stock of vodka by then so I passed out only to be woken up at 7 to the sound of rain and little boys being rowdy.

Dylan was supposed to have a baseball game so much to his dismay, I grabbed him left. A shower never felt so good. Took him to eat at Bob Evan's and he rightly pointed out that "this is A LOT better than camping!".

That's why I don't go camping...Nam flashbacks.

Dylan is wise beyond his years.

Pete's prayers are answered: me and my sweater vest collection have a real job.
Congrats Colin!

He was REALLY pissed to find out that we were leaving but I'm 99.2% sure that was just because they were going to make pancakes. The kid annihilates pancakes. After explaining the alternative, he was more than happy to leave. He ven shared his bacon with me because I didn't have any. Good kid.

I'm not very familiar with the culture up north, but CC & E10, does everybody just take things really easy and slow? That has been my experience in the business world. Y'all seem to be a little behind of the tech curve too. Reason I'm asking is I'm working today because my new rep up there has elevated, what I perceive to be the culture, to new levels. I have an opportunity for a good piece of business and my prospect is currently using Staples and OfficeMax. I sent him a list of 76 items with item numbers and descriptions asking for competitive pricing. Here's his response:

I have taken a look at this file and it looks like a great opportunity, There is one thing that worries me in regards to getting this back to you in a timely fashion. That concern is that all the numbers you have provided are either OfficeMax or Staples numbers. Crossing them into manufacture numbers if left to me could take 3 – 4 weeks before I can even start looking at pricing, unfortunately here in Canada we don’t have tools or any software that will allow us to quickly cross reference these numbers which means it is a very manual process for me.
WTMF,3-4 weeks are you kidding me? I could do this pre-PC in 3-4 hours.

So that's what I'm supposed to be doing now instead of "camping". Guess I better get started.

They have to convert the prices to metric, Bob.

Your rep told you 3-4 weeks?
Yes, what a dickmitten. The problem is all of the item numbers are different there. I have a computer program that could knock this out in 20 minutes here in the States.

ETA

Plus their Canadian website doesn't run the same software as the American version. Their search function sucks Frosty's balls.
