GM's thread about nothing (23 Viewers)

Does a "self propelled" mower make that much of a difference? How much time does it save?
It saves zero time, it's just easier. Especially if your lawn isn't flat.

I bought self propelled, because I wanted my 9 year old (now 10) to mow. That's also why I bought electric. Don't have to worry about gas, oil, etc. And just push a button to start the thing.
:goodposting:

self-propelled does away with a lot of the pushing. you just have to walk with it.
When is someone going to invent the Mowmba?
I think it's been around a few years.

Robomow
I almost posted that for you earlier

We should all chip in and get YSR a self-propelled womb.
just pour coke and mentos into her virginia?
Is it possible you're thinking of Pop Rocks? 'Cause putting mentos into a vag would be strange.
No.

Can someone recommend a couple of movies for me to watch tonight?

I'm not feeling 100% and am thinking of curling up on the couch for about 5 or 6 hours when I get home.

Looking for something fairly recent and available at REDbox.
I prefer the selections of Red Tube over Red Box.

Speaking of box, I'm eating a tuna fish sandwich on marble rye and capping the Derby. Life really couldn't be any better than it is right now. Perfect weather, plenty of beers await me, Kentucky Oaks in between now and BBQ dinner with friends and family. Swiss cheese with the tuna was the right call. Was considering cheddar.

Well, you know...unless I was AT the Kentucky Derby with fellow GMTANNERS :invitelostinmail:

Blackberry can't run apps anymore?

Thx to Tanner and TF - I'll go with Skyfall & Bin Laden. Hope they keep me awake when I hopped up on Nyquil later.

Airports need smoking sections. This is bull####.
Give the e-cigs a try. No shtick. Swisher makes a disposable one for like $7. Working like a champ so far.
Usually only smoke when I drink, but I think that's frequent enough now that I should get an e-cig for backup. Had no idea they were that cheap, figured it was a $50+ investment. That's awesome.

One of the strippers left hers at my party. I could have given it to you. I'm sure it's fairly clean.

She also left a stripper shoe in the yard. Like Cinderella.

It'd be great shtick to bring to all the local strip clubs asking to slip it on the hottest girls' feet.

This has always bugged me: If Cinderella's slipper was a "perfect fit" when the prince tried it on her why did it fall of in the first place?

So my six year old son has a girlfriend. He told us yesterday that they kissed. They went to a "secret place" under the playground and kissed, not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times.

Today I asked him if he kissed his girlfriend again. "No," he says, "today we had a secret wedding."

It took all the restraint I could muster not to say, "You poor dumb *******."

Can someone explain the "Romo" schtick and who exactly that is to someone who has been reading this thread for about the last 200 pages, but still feels like GM holding a Coaxial cable in one hand and a USB 2.0 in the other?
I posted this picture of my husband a couple of years ago, saying that it was somewhat uncanny how much he resembled Romo when he had his hat turned backwards.

Since then, he's met a bunch of GMTAN hooligans at coshole and the consensus was that there is very little actual resemblance to Romo. But until we have a better nickname for him, "Romo" it is.
I disagree. Being in Dallas/Fort Worth, seeing and listening to a lot of Tony Romo AND spending close intimate time with Mr. YSR, I think there is an uncanny resemblance in both sight and sound.

If only the real Tony Romo was as competitive...

Holy crap. Tanner just discovered the Da Vinci code of fairy tales.

So for my "today in history" I did James Brown's birthday. These kids all have heard "I Got You (I Feel Good)" but that's about it.

I mention that Brown's nickname was "The Godfather of Soul". I also add "he was also called Soul Brother #1...which was also my nickname in college." I've said that 4 times today and it has met with crickets each time.

Stupid ####in' kids.

I'mfairly certain Mrs Slb and myself are the poorest guests on this trip. I haven't met anyone yet that doesn't own a 3rd world nation, a fleet of luxury cars and an armada of ships.

This is some crazy #### though. Upon arrival everybody got to choose a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I've must have had a hundred really expensive free drinks comped. Last night was dinner on some plantation they rented out. Open bar four different appetizers then an 8 course meal. After that was an open cigar bar and all of the chicks got to choose a sarong. Wow all of these broads looked hot wearing them. Then there was a band after that. It seemed like most people were "meh, this is alright I guess" but I was blown ####### away.

Mrs Slb went to bed on our return to the hotel and I hit the bar. I've apparently made a name for myself :oldunsure: since I was cheerfully greeted by a bunch of people there that I had zero clue as to who they were. Bar closed and I sat on the beach by myself smoking one of the many cigars insisted on me, drinking whisky, staring at the stars and fiddler crabs scurrying about. Damn, you rich people got it good.

I need to go get a drink before I vomit. We are getting a helicopter tour of the island at noon. :mellow :

Just talked my way into a redemption date with Doctor!! DerbyHole is ramping up. Heading to get Uni in a few minutes

Any of you that live in cities use uber? You open an app, hit a button and a black town car picks you up within about 5 minutes. They have your credit card info on file so you don't have to pay the driver or tip. Just barely more expensive than a cab; about the same for flat rate trips like to the airport.

I imagine this is what K4 feels like all the time.

We have this but basically you dial "PEACHES" backwards on the phone and a guy named "Okie Scott" swings by in his green Geo Metro (with the blue passenger door) and takes you where you need to go. He doesn't take CC's but usually $5 for gas and/or a joint usually covers it. Just remember not to stare at his shingles.

hey guys, headed to Laguardia, on my way to Finland for dinner, then Berlin in the morning to spend the afternoon with my brother before we catch a train to Split, Croatia! couple days there and then we're headed to Reykjavik and Nuuk, Greenland for a business meeting with some guys about gold in Baffin Bay before we head to New Orleans for Mothers Day.

just wanted to say Lindsay Czarniak is hot before i sit down for dinner at Atera in Tribeca and drinks at Spuyten Duyvil. probably can't compare to the pastor tacos i had in LA's Koreatown yesterday after a breakfast meeting at Namu Gaji in San Francisco but i can at least hope they are as good as the tacos i had at Candlestick on Monday!

see you guys next week in Vegas when i stop by there on my way to Japan!

i love you Frostypickles!
