Abe - can you sell your house, s?
Probably. But the problem is the trust broken. Selling the house in 90 days or whatever would just add to the pain. "Hey, I tucked up and now we have to sell the house you love"
Understand...Why don't you do this while your wife is gone.

1. Talk to a mtg broker and see if you can refi to get your pmt lower (roll all of your closing costs into the loan)

2. Talk to a RE agent and see what you can realistically get for your house after commission

3. Take an inventory of what you can sell and ballpark costs

4. Take a look at rentals in the area and see what it looks like

5. Put all this #### on paper and when your wife cools down, show her what you guys can do to reduce your monthly expenses....put a plan together to slowly pay down her CC with some of the excess $

If after all of that she still doesn't want to work with you, then maybe you look at other options....but IMO, you should be doing this right now. oh and sell your ### off at work
Also, really let her cool down. Inevitably, she'll come back with 1 of 2 things:

1. "I want to talk" - then you can show her what you put together

2. "Why haven't you reached out!" - your response: "Let me show you what I've been working on..."
You're doing great work here, Tiger Pshan.

How much is the ####### guitar worth?
A well know guitarist offered me 3k for it 14 years ago. It's a 77 les Paul that had p90 pickups. The problem is the serial number says it should have humbuckers. P90s are 2/3 the size of humbuckers and the wood is cut for the p90s. So someone on the assembly line set this one up in a way that was not supposed to happen. Its also so heavy that playing it live is a chore. I can think of very few reasons (and this is one of them) why I won't be buried with that guitar.
Before I can make you an offer I want to show your guitar to a friend of mine who is an expert on guitars.
He could always take his sweet lady to Motown...

I did NOT drink my beer. Saving up my drunks for this weekend.

Friday after work is a going away thing for this broad I work with. She is one of the nicest people I know...probably too nice. She's quitting teaching. I don't even think she's 30 years old. She just can't handle it.

On the other hand I really need to watch how much I drink around work people. Last Friday 4 or 5 women that work in our district showed up at my usual drinking spot. My wife was busy talking to one of her work friends so I went and sat with these teacher/librarian ladies. I stepped right into a big gossip session. I brought up a couple of stories that I probably should have kept on the down-low. Nothing serious but the next day I thought to myself "I really shouldn't have talked about our old IT guy and his wife having a threesome with another teacher's husband (actually true).

One of the women I was drinking with teaches at another school in our district. I don't think I've ever met her or at least talked to her. Her son, Kyle, is one of our regular substitutes. He can't be any older than 25. Great kid. Funny as hell and likes to imbibe.

So Monday morning he's on campus and he says to me "So I heard you met my mom. She's kind of crazy, right?" I tell him "Oh, she's great. Dynamite gal." (Paul Newman line from Slap Shot). He gives me this weird look. Then I tell him. "Hey, this doesn't change anything between you and I. You don't have to call me 'Uncle Brian' or anything like that." Then I slapped him on the back and walked away.

I appreciate all the input. I do. Serious, funny, supportive, etc. many moons ago I talked about being an introvert. I don't think I'm an introvert nearly as much as I keep to myself because I hide a lot of things. This thread is the only "place" I have to open up and try to do right. So I'm sorry I litter it with personal drama. But I thank you all for not mocking me and sending me on my way.One day i will have my life sorted out and fixed. And when you need me, I will be here.
I was pretty harsh on you the other night. I felt you needed that, and in some respects I think you still do. I still think you need someone kicking you in the ### to make things right but you're off to a better start. Keep on it. I don't know if you remember but I think I was the first person you told (via the drunk thread and then PM) when your wife was pregnant your first child. I still remember that PM and how excited you were. It was to the point where you couldn't tell anyone in the B&M world yet but you wanted to shout it from the rooftops if you could. It was awesome. I know the feeling. Try and remember that time. Regardless of whether you told another random drunk on the internet, it's a moment of pure joy and happiness that you should be able to share with your wife. Remember that. Keep fighting for that. That should be your ultimate goal. I went to the bar after softball tonight and I had 2 beers and 8 waters. This is going to be tough. I had to pass up shots. SHOTS!!! 22 left.
Good news. The ice is off the pond which is down the road from the Lake we're going to in Canada, and traditionally the pond clears one week before the lake. Considering we leave a week from tomorrow sounds like we're just in under the wire.
What are you guys trying to fish? Apparently the walleye spawned right away up in Eagle River right after I told you about the 2' of ice melting in 2 weeks.

Walleye and Pike mostly, but apparently there's smallmouth bass as well and I've never caught one of those so I'd like to give that a shot.

Fax me a couple of walleye when you get back home. :fishing:

This has been driving me nuts.

There was a movie which I think came out in the past couple of years. Or possibly it was a TV show. A guy and a girl meet, arranged I believe by someone with a sinister plan, and they hit it off. Come to find out, they are brother and sister and had been banging all along without knowledge of it.

Any help what movie/show this was?

BAM!

That's the one. Thanks.

I even got the one major plot twist wrong. The movie must not have made a great impression on me.

Big five day weekend before lockup

As some of you may have guessed (if you cared), I will be one of the lab rats beta testers for Cos' latest venture. The good news, naturally, is that I will be living at AO Mon-Thur. The bad news (really more of a harsh reality) is that I have to overhaul the way I eat, and my relationship with food. Monday and Tuesday, I came home after an 18-hour fast to find my blood glucose pushing 190. That won't kill you...soon. But I already have some numbness in my feet, which is the first step down a long road to not being able to take any more steps.

Don't know how this will work, but I owe cos, and myself, an honest effort.

Sideways

So I had my makeup date with doctor on Tuesday. For those that done remember every detail of my life, I accidentally got drunk with friends and missed our previously scheduled third date. Yeah, so it turns out so basically just agreed to this date so she could get a free meal and call me self-centered  :lmao:

But hey, at least I was home by 8 and could watch the Sox game

Today is Thursday, so you know what that means, right?? Post-lunch meditation! :confetti:

I've got my first meeting with a meditation expert next Wednesday - curious to see how that will go and what we will talk about for an hour. We played phone tag for a bit trying to get the meeting set up and the dude leaves the chilliest voicemails :coffee:

So I hate to serious this thread up a bit...but has anyone had the "I don't want to have any more kids" chat with the wife, knowing that she wants another one? I'm sure she knows this is my stance, but we haven't had the "official" talk about it...and it kills me that this will likely make her sad...but it's the honest truth.

Any tips are welcomed!
For those scoring at home, we had the talk last night...she was expecting me to say I didn't want any more...and I expected her to cry and be sad...and both happened. But all things considered, I think it went as well as I could have expected.

:shrug;
Good luck GB, and when are you going to accept my FB request?
I only accept FB requests from FBGs I've met...no offense at all, but just my policy.

=sum(a1:a20)Gives the sum of all cells between a1 and a20.
ALREADY GIVING BACK!
Well, I slept in my own bed last night. Wife had a very matter of fact tone with me when we spoke a little bit. "Can you get the baby some milk....did you turn off the sprinkler system...?" I did sell our storage shed - the guy already gave me $125 and will be back on Saturday. I'm meeting someone at lunchtime at my office to show them the pallet racks. The listed value on CL is ~$700, which would really be good. At the moment the wife says she thinks she can make the money work through the month except for our health insurance ($647). So I have three weeks to get that , which I think I can do. Stupid health care. (New job benies kick in July 1).
