GM's thread about nothing (18 Viewers)

I have a 19" flat panel TV that the sound card burned out. It would make a decent monitor, if you don't need sound.

You pay the shipping, it's yours. May or may not come with an arby's coupon or sex toy.
Nah, these things are cheap now, so I'll just grab one this weekend.

Seattle peeps - any interest in getting a poker game going between June 8th-22nd? Wife going out of town for two weeks with the kids. Looking for some things to put on the calendar so I don't tailspin like Maverick and Goose.

The software company I thought I was a lock to get a job at 3 months ago (120k comp, sales manager) had their ipo today and popped 60% after open.

Fml.

I don't recommend you look into this... http://www.washingtonbeer.com/wa-brewers-fest/

OK, people (especially cornhole people). What have I forgotten about Bob over the years that I should know? Things that will help personalize BOC. BaldLikes cat ####/shirt(s)Hot wifeLikes Rams/CardsBoozy (beer? Hard liquor? wine? Yes, have some?)WalksDivesHas boysLives amongst swingers
Well, he's got a shredder. You can send him a bunch of financial documents that need to be disposed of.
Bob is significantly less energetic than I imagined. Not lethargic, just that he doesn't exert a lot of energy like most people do. No hyperactivity to this one. Half the time he spoke to me it seemed like he'd just taken a really big hit of a joint. Maybe he had. But either way, he sometimes speaks like he doesn't want the air in his lungs to escape. At one point we walked out to YSR's car to get some beer and he was about 20 feet behind me. Icouldn't tell if he was coming to help get the beer or was intent on going for a walk by himself. He just sort of slowly loped to YSR's pimpmobile and grabbed some of the beer. "So, the trip was good to get here?" Bob: "Yeaaahhhh.....can't complain........(exhale...lopes back in to AO)."
My impression of Bob was that he knows how to use his energy to his own advantage. He didn't come in blazing hot and sprint it out like a time-lapsed supernova as another of our heroes did. But he was always moving, doing..... something - walking to Dallas on a cig run, fixing any damged shingles cos may have had, and setting a sorta-laid-back tone for the weekend while keeping it moving forward.
Bogart?
Yes, Milosh. Bogart is just an overt, buck wild dude. Only myself & Uni are even close.

:lmao:

Update on the flat panel?
Do you want it? I'm sorry. I didn't see a reply.
Was hoping for a picture or maybe give me the dimensions or something?
It's really not worth the money it would cost to ship it. It isn't widescreen and it isn't big. Ill get a picture but its not all that.
Nah, don't sweat it, Abe. I gotta get a new one for work. Will just expense. Thanks.
I have a coupke of nice widescreens, nib. I think they;re 22=24" or so. Since they already in the box they'd be an easy ship. If interested, I'll get them out of the closet and send more info.

I can sit at dinner and let everyone speak for half an hour, yet when i try to utter a sentence I am interrupted halfway through EVERY time. Is this all women or just the ones emeshed in my life?

Its driving me crazy.

I respond by stopping and letting them go on talking over me under the delusion that they will notice and stop doing it

Huge fail.

I have no idea what this means? Jesus has come back?
I thought I was getting hired at tableau software. They had an ipo today. Everyone got richer. I don't work there.
That's pretty much exactly the type of software I used to sell back in the '90's. We were one of the first companies to make BI available via the net.

Pretty dead at the bar tonight since there was a music festival in Montauk, so I bailed early. Been sick all week and was dying back there. Sucks to pass up the cash from the late crowd, but screw it...gonna chill and have a few beers and maybe, just maybe, get some decent sleep.

In other words, I'll be drunkenly berating people here at 5am.

Special thanks to Tanner for posting a video of a 12 year old girl covering a Katy Perry song on my facebook page yesterday. Nothing weird about that!

Hey ProNinja. I'm gonna buy a bike soon...what size is good for a 6'2" mountain of manhood like myself?

Actually anyone that has bought a bike in the last few years can answer this. Not like I need an expert opinion for this one.

My wife just told me she could never kill me but she could definitely see me killing her some day. That's pretty weird, right?

Do I mention my wife too much? Or is TRE just a ####?

BTW, the reason I'm buying a bike is because my new place is only 3 miles from my bar...investing so I can get ####hammered during the summer and just ride home without risking the DUI. :pickle: Is this a sign that I have a problem or a sign that I'm acting more responsibly? Gonna need a ruling here.

Think it's a marvelous idea, Homer. Bought my bike on Labor Day and love it. Nothing in the world like smoking a bowl, hopping on the bike, putting on the headphones and enjoying the ride. I bike home about 2 days a week now, but hope to ramp it up once my wife is done with this new shift at her job. I bought a Fuji Absolute 3.0 for about $350 brand new. It's not a 'cool' bike, but it's everything I need and absolutely no complaints. And hey, if you're not careful, you might even drop a few lbs.

Are you and Tre and your wife currently hanging out at a bar?
No
Good, I was gonna be jealous.

And honestly, I like that you mention your wife a lot. Anything that puts an image of an attractive woman in my head is totally appreciated.

Currently eating spicy chex mix with her eyes closed as she's 94% passed out but can't resist the spicy chex mix.

How's that?

BTW, you're totally cool here. I think it would be weird for a wife not to see her husband killing her at some point.
Love you. If you ever come to Minnesota I will totally make plans to hang out before bailing at the last minute with a lame excuse.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, GB. :banned:

In his defense I just left him a vm about it 10 min ago,

Jesus, dude. You might as well send me nudie pics. :pickle:

Tanner, gimme a rough list of your favorite flicks.
Off the top of my head? How about fairly recent very good to great films:

No Country for Old Men

Drive

Gone Baby Gone

Pulp Fiction

Sideways

Quiz Show

Master and Commander...

Boogie Nights

Good Will Hunting

LA Confidential

I'm sure there are more but those are the ones that came to mind
Good list. I guess I need to see Drive and Gone Baby Gone.

An XL in just about any company should do just fine for you. Yes, most companies have t-shirt sizing. They'll probably call it a 21'' frame.
