GM's thread about nothing (37 Viewers)

Golf was fun to say the least. The real kicker is the guy that took my GB with legal issues place, could have been the brother of our hero, GM. He looked like him and acted like him to some extent too. Needless to say, we got along just fine. Of course this guy is a former professional soccer player so there were differences too. I remember at some point he was laughing and said "where have you been my whole life Bob?". Of course the constant drinking, golfing and gambling for 3 days has taken its toll. I'm fairly certain you could lick my head right now just like a toad's back and get wasted.

Sorry for the drunken phone message yesterday, GM. It seemed funnier at the time.

:lmao:

I knew I forgot to do something yesterday. Sorry for not calling back. Wish I had now.

Yesterday we went to a picnic for some mom group my wife is in. Part way through, a bunch of the 7-8 year old kids were running around trying to squirt each other with Capri-Suns, which turned into them pretending they were peeing. A few minutes later one dad yells out his kid's name (complete with middle name) so 30 adults all turn to look. The kid had dropped his shorts and was either just showing off his 7 year old package (hi GM) or was actually trying to pee on someone.

All I could think of was which GMTANer would this kid turn in to. If he was showing off I was guessing Zooks, if he was showing it to the girls I was guessing Homer, if he just had to pee isn't Bentley the outside pee-er.

Anyone interested in trading us a QB that 1) does not have a week 10 bye week and 2) is likely to be playing in week 10 unless broken?
WE HAVE KEVIN KOLBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
The Buffalo Bills are concerned that the QB Kevin Kolb's (concussion) might be career-ending, and they're proceeding with that in mind.

If I had been there, there would have been a lot of kids with fake colostomy bags. :coffee:

OK, if you watched the first season of Hannibal, you know that Mads Mikkelson playing Lecter is ominous and creepy as ####. Well now there's a Tumblr that asks the all-important question, "What if Hannibal told lame jokes instead of implying cannibalism?"

I don't know if it's just me or what, but I was absolutely rolling at these...the reactions are priceless.

Here you go.

"HEY EVERYBODY.... LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!"

If you were in my football pool last year and don't plan on playing this year, please let me. If you are interested in playing, send me a PM.
I'll play. We can net out what you owe for HFFL dues for what I owe for this.
Yes, meant to include that in my post.

I'm out this year.
:sadbanana:

How much is the pool? I'm a pro gamblor now so I should probably enter.
$88 for the year. I'll send you a PM.

Kevin Kolb's talent was career-ending way before his head caught up.

Oh yeah, Red & Thorn in particular, I e-mailed a letter from my lawyer to that company today. I'm really hoping, as unrealistic as it might be, that they just cut me a check.

We have our monthly birthday lunch at work tomorrow and the theme is "red" - that is, bring red foods.

I love to cook but took about 8 months off from bringing anything to these potlucks due to pregnancy and then having a newborn. But I might like to participate this month. Problem is, I've got nothing in the way of ideas. I've scrapped tomato pie (didn't get to the farmers' market this weekend for good homegrowns) and red velvet anything (already being brought). Am considering a gazpacho but I've never made one.

Any ideas?

Mr. krista suggests using any of the following: "Red snapper? Ruby red grapefruit? Red pepper jelly? Red peppers stuffed with red snapper?

Cherries. Strawberries. Rutabaga."

He also suggested sangria.
