GM's thread about nothing (97 Viewers)

Looking over the roosters I count 2 PUP players, 10 players on IR, 8 waived players, and 1 player already on IR when drafted. I am assuming the waiver wire will open up tomorrow so we can all fill those voids on our team.
NO WAIVERS because TigerFan complained about it.
Too tedious.
:bowtie:

Who wants to worry about in season management for a $20 league
Speaking of which, has Commisholololololo logged in to set a lineup from OUR ####-tastic rooster?

It sucks, but it's set!

I PMd him...but set a lineup just in case:

QB - Brady

RB - Murray, Jacquizzzz

WR - Johnson, Hilton

FL - Weeden

TE - Graham

PK - Bullock

DT - Lions

winner winner
This is similar to what I had. Our RB2s all suck so bad that it really doesn't matter who we put in there.

By the way, NO ONE knows that we're moving back other than my Mom and of course the GMTAN. :D
Happy belated birthday! Also, when a bunch of packages show up at your place, I guess just refuse them so they ship them back to St. Louis.

That's nothing.

My little girl started kindergarten today. This is horrible.
Looking forward to scrolling right by the facebook pic.
:lmao: Holy crap.

Actually Frosty's daughter is scarily photogenic. I'm betting their old mailman was a handsome fellow.
You have no idea how many times I've heard the mailman joke.
How many times have you heard it from the mailman?

Soooooo....anybody else have a former boss get picked up in a prostitution sting over the weekend? Homer? Rude? Cos?
Ooooof. CNBC just broke the story on their TV show.
OOF Sorry GB.

Hard to type with your eyes clawed out.

Wow, our QBs suck.
But you can start two of them!
In the Caption Contest draft, you can start as many as you like.

Dear k4,

Congrats on the (29th?) anniversary of your successful journey from amniotic sac occupant to occupier of independent space. I, for one, am glad you continue convert oxygen into carbon dioxide.
Brought a little tear to my eye. :lmao:

Hey, where is SLB? I didn't get that FB birthday post that he's been doing for a couple of years. :hot:
I've been working a lot. When I haven't been working, I've been sleeping. Went 12 hours last night until this morning without any help at all and I had to force myself to get out of bed. :oldunsure:

SLB also missed my Wayne Rooney gag.
Sorry

Couple of things.

Tanner, meant to comment on your post about walking. Cars that try to insist I walk out in front of them drive me nuts. I already played chicken with a swimming pool and lost, not about to try a car. I think I might start mooning them.

I'm going to the Cards-Pirates game Saturday with this guy. He insists he won't rape me, and my cat shirt, in front of 40,000 witnesses but I figured I better post something just in case.

Oh yeah, hearing about Breaking Bad seemingly non-stop makes me want to murder somebody. Can't wait until I find time to watch it. I find it hard to believe that Hal is a bad guy though.

Jacquizz will have return yardage. And you know the Saints will score a bunch, so he'll have plenty of opportunities

Now that Time Warner finally picked it up, this Longhorn Network thing is pretty cool. I may learn to love football and Mack Brown again. An added bonus is that it drives AngryWife nuts when she comes into the living room and sees that I'm watching the replay of the post game press conference.

Three more positives for OAK:

1) The weather kicks the #### out of nearly every other place's weather. Hot weather is for #######s, as is snow.

2) Plenty of really good restaurants just on this side of the (brand new!) bridge alone, never mind SF. And a chef (I would imagine) would miss the worst of the commute if you drove in to SF, assuming you leave mid-afternoon.

3) If...IF, for whatever godforsaken reason you want to jump back in to werk, plenty of options there for what you do.
What do you know about the San Mateo Highlands these days? Way overpriced? Still a good reputation?
That's my neck of the woods. The real estate rebound has taken full effect here - prices are just about where they were at the height of the boom. Really nice place to live, if you can afford it though.
I have relatives that live there. Always loved it up there. Eichler houses are the ####.

Imagine how bad our QBs would be if we hadn't traded Spiller?
:goodposting: I know we waited through the first couple of QB runs, and that's mostly my fault, but I forgot how it had turned out. :lmao:

So how many of you dorks are in the Subscriber Contest?

I mean, besides myself, Captain Quinoa, and Gadzooks.
I just realized this thing existed and spent about 1/2 hour putting in a roster. I have no idea what the strategy should be for that thing.

So I'm like 1lb away from officially losing 30. I'm tempted to celebrate by walking to my drinking spot for a couple of technique* beers. It's like 2.5 miles. I figure I can always have one of my kids pick me up when I'm done.

Should I?

*makes as much sense as "craft"

Based on my assessment of your online personna, I would say you'd fit in best Uptown or the Warehouse District. If you're down with hipsters, then Marigny/Bywater area.

Thanks! The latter sounds of interest. Tend to like slightly sketchy, up-and-coming neighborhoods more than those that have already been infested with the yuppies with the double-wide strollers.

So how old? 45? 46?
Si, cuarenta y seis.

Is this a real question?

Planning on having a few session beers?

Oh that contest. Yeah I'm in. Also no clue. Last year I took a screen shot of the rosters of the top teams but it isn't in my ff folder. Good idea, bad execution.

I just assume that nobody sees me.
Sure but a lot of times they stop and try to wave me into the sreet so they can run me over.

Actually on my 3rd Session beer of the night. No, really. Solid brew for the money, though they are only 11oz instead of 12...which means I'm really buying an 11-pack and not a 12-pack, so maybe not so great a deal. But good. A very good session beer called 'Sessions'.

So if I want to start watching Breaking Bad, I have to sign up for a "free" account at this place by entering my credit card information? Seems legit.

Suddenly I'm feeling older than Tanner.

Then that's your best bet. If you're serious about it, let me know and I can tell you some of the sketchier places to stay away from. I'll only recommend "slightly sketchy"

I'm also in the subscriber contest. I really appreciate the site more now that they've cut the dead weight out of the writing staff.

I'm pretty interested by this Syria thing, and I haven't been in that thread yet. So I check out who's posted in it, and I see "Timschochet - 78" at the top of the leaderboard. So, skipping that one.

Those Syrians seem to be up to something?

Just wait until Tim finally decides if he's for or against us going in. Post count will treble.

My favorite Timmy-shtick, where he takes dozens and dozens of posts figuring out which way he's going. KEEP US UPDATED, TIM!

I think I checked in once and, as I scrolled to the bottom to see "the latest" like I usually do, I saw his name pass by and immediately backed out. I figured he was having a debate with himself about the role of anti-semitism in the PED scandal and how it tied in with bio-engineered beef products in Nepal that were being used to ferry illegal arms in to Syria and I didn't really want to deal with that.
