It's been an experience. Part of the reason I wish to move back is that, many of things I love here are things I would learn to hate (or on the verge of hating already). I want those things to continue to be delightful and charming to me.

 
Stryker Jr's first birthday is tomorrow. 40 people (15 of which are <6 years old) are coming to our place. We have about 1200ft^2 on an 1/8 acre lot. It's supposed to be 87 degrees and humid with possible rain. I don't think the $300 I spent on booze tonight is going to be enough....for me

There are a lot of great things about the kids. A lot of them. Other than they suck most of the time. I was thinking about it though.... and the greatest feeling I ever feel is when I see one of the good traits that I passed on to your boys. Makes me feel good. Then you see the bad ones. For example Dylan, aka Shredder, I took this this morning coming down the stairs for school.

You, me, we would think, man, that's stupid. But he's Dylan. The kid is so cool. There must have been some gene mutation. He does his own thing and the girls, hell some of the boys, fight over his time. But he doesn't care. He's too busy trying to jump his bike or scooter over something and he doesn't care who is watching. But everybody does.

Plus he does whatever I say. huh...I guess that explains the picture. Never mind.

Granted I only had an Atari 2600 but I can't imagine getting up early enough to play Barnstorming or Megamania before school. Plus my parents would have whooped me. I guess those aren't like Elvis vs Skyrim or whatever

I'm probably going to be a bad parent and not get video games for my kids. Time will tell.

I went to this kick you in the ### Catholic school after getting kicked out of the public. Well, things were worse there and I know I helped things along with my penchant for tomfoolery. No air conditioning anywhere and old books were the norm. A movie was supposed to be a real treat for us kids. However we were all #######s. There were 32 boys and 32 girls in my class. I believe 16 of us boys were suspended from school my 8th grade year. According to my linked account, one of my GB's that was suspended right beside me just became a step away from Attorney General for the State. We got a good education but damn did we make it fun. ####### horrible for the teachers, but fun.

No TV before school is interesting.

Video Game Rule = 1 hour a day. He has his hour. He decides when he gets to use it and what he wants to play. Knowing this gives a sense of fairness to it, to the point that he won't play more than an hour if I forget he already played, i.e. he tells me if his mother let him play earlier in the day.

What do Shredder and Cal do in the morning with no cartoons? Really considering this...
