GM's thread about nothing (58 Viewers)

God, I'm glad I don't bet much anymore. I'm horrible at picking games. I am in a confidence pool (picking against the spread) with some friends. In week one, I picked a grand total of 3 games correctly. Last week, I did ok but this week is like a replay of the first.

I think I assigned the 49ers winning the highest confidence points this week :bag:

That Luck kid ain't half bad.

If Brandon Marshall would fumble twice and tweak his ankle, that would be helpful. Since that's not likely, gonna switch to BB soon.

Stupid little Caesars. They don't have a hot and ready pizza actually ready so I'm sitting here 12 minutes shy of bb waiting for one. :wall:

We're totally staying in Atlanta, because there's no way I'm traveling with these cats ever again ever ever. And I can't just leave them behind as they're sort of charming. Besides, Atlanta seems pretty good.

Random pissing and vomiting is charming? Where were you when I was in college?

I knew I set myself up for that. :lmao:

your football team sucks
I still  Da Bears no matter where I go.

Oh! I forgot to report that on our flight from Managua to Atlanta on Friday, as we got off the plane a guy informed us that there was someone checking passports at the end of the jetway. Seemed really weird but as we got there a guy two rows in front of us was surrounded by about 10 cops and was cuffed. He looked sweaty but resigned to having been caught.

What would this be? If it were drugs in his luggage, for instance, he would have been stopped in Nica, right? So some sort of felony warrant that popped up when he checked in for the flight? Do things work that way?

Standard operating procedure for apprehending drug mules. I read about a new ring that have started to work with felines, especially sick ones.

Probably a cat juggler.

What about Martes?
:(

I reached out to two people I know down there who work on trying to help with the street dogs. One of them never responded to my plea at all. The other responded but told me that he wouldn't be doing spay/neuter for a couple of weeks and wasn't sure what to tell me. We didn't have a car, or a leash, or anything that we could use even if we knew where to go, which of course we didn't when the "rescuers" didn't help.

When we came in late last night he showed up at the door when we were unloading. We didn't have food any more as we'd thrown everything perishable out, but Mr. krista did a 15-minute walk each way to buy him some Spam.

He wasn't in awful shape--his face is beat up but he didn't look skinny or starving or anything--so I'm hoping he is getting enough elsewhere. Regardless, we'll probably never see him again for better or worse for him. :( :( :(
