The kids have reached the age where they know their mom and I have sex (LOOK AT ME!) but wish/pretend we didn't. My stepson's room is directly above ours and the other night we heard three distinct thumps on his floor right after. We were

- The Denver Broncos Defense has now failed to reach their projection for four straight games. This week they scored 16.00 points versus a projected 25.64.
- After a season-low 20.54 points against a projected 31.79, Robert Griffin III has scored below his projection in three straight games.

Smart people, please advise as to whether I could reasonably get by with only 10 Mbps download speed on my internet. This is what DirecTV offers. We tried to set up Comcast today, where we can get 20 Mbps or 40 Mbps, but as it turns out, they are still Comcast. Is 10 Mbps enough for reasonable service?

As long as you aren't planning on streaming HD video it should be just fine. How is DTV getting service to you? Is it through at&t? DSL?

:( I don't know. It's just something called "Direcpath Titanium". It says on the brochure (part of the overall DirecTV brochure) that you can watch HD videos on it.
I think I'd do dial-up if I had to just to avoid Comcast at this point anyway. Most infuriating company on the planet.

Cursory search shows it's likely a cable internet company so you should be ok. And Comcast is not too bad anymore, at least in my experiences lately in Chicago.

Although keeping up with this thread and the FFA in general will tax you the most (unless you're designing skyscrapers and e-mailing the CAD drawings out to others for comment), yes, 10 mbps will be fine for just about anything. Also, DirecTV will probably make its service faster soon, from what I'm hearing.
