GM's thread about nothing (26 Viewers)

Just finished watching Rashomon. What a cool film.
Fantastic.
Probably my favorite director so if you haven't watched a lot of stuff and want any recommendations, let me know.
I've watched a hanful, but have decided to watch the complete(ish) Kurosawa catalogue (I know he's made a lot). What I've watched so far is:

Ran

Rashomon

The Seven Samurai

Ikiru

Next on my list is Yojimbo, which I understand to be the story of a black man trying to hail a cab in NYC driven by Jim.

:lmao: Yojimbo is great. You've seen my other favorites, but I also highly recommend High and Low as a very different type of movie from most of his (more of a film noir), Kagemusha, The Hidden Fortress, Stray Dog, Throne of Blood and The Idiot, pretty much in that order. Whatever you do, never ever see Dreams.

I posted this in the my fat niece wants to have sex with an internet stranger thread, which was strangely appropriate but I meant to post it here:

Going to Vegas for the Superbowl - and not Icon's fancy Vegas - downtown, smoking, drinking, tempting heart attack Vegas with my college buddies. We currently have 3 - looking for a 4th. Anyone interested?

Took E / X 3/4 times.

Only once did I get good stuff.

The good stuff is stupid good. 1993, dragged into some bar by some girl that was right out of 'Night At The Roxbury'. My brain kept telling me 'This place sucks. RUN!', but I still couldn't get the grin off of my face (girl helped :) ) Spent most of the night asking people if they got their clothes at Chess King.

It's mainly the fact that due to the chick's enormous noggin people thing her head looks like it belong more with the body on the left despite that meaning that her head would be on her chest.
No, I'm on board with the head belonging to the body on the right, except that I can't figure out how it can contort that way. I've considered a third party, but that seems unlikely. Shopped? Gotta be shopped.

Bar was much more out of Night At The Roxbury..... girl was less, but still not far from it.

Reminds me of this.

The torso of the girl on the right is actually rotated a little more to her left than you'd expect given the hug, which allows her to tuck her head in there.

And yeah, she has a gigantic melon.

All have been added to my queue. Thanks.

It's being pushed by the other girl's shoulder. The reason it looks weird is that her head is enormous. If it was human sized it wouldn't look that weird.

I bet her dad didn't even bother trying to have sex with her mom after birthing that zeppelin.

My second has a head in the 99th percentile. What's weird is that things actually got tighter after the stitches. The approach was also a slightly different angle.

Actually true.

Having a rough go of things on my annual poker excursion. Maybe I should have listened to GM's financial advice and actually invested money rather than gamble it all away. :oldunsure:

Still have 36 hours to turn things around, but it's looking like I could have used this money to spend a week partying in Europe, or rented a KristaHouse for a month.. Instead I blew it all to spend four days in ####### Oklahoma. FML. :kicksrock:

Wow. Kid playing for Dayton got kicked in the head and fell out. He tried to get up and basically collapsed. Hopefully, he just got knocked ####-simple and the way they're stabilizing his neck is just a precaution.

"Double up and catch up" is my motto.

Good luck

Are there dads in here who travel a lot for work or otherwise have obscene hours? Are you still able to "be there" for your wife and kids and feel involved?
Yes, and kind of... You are going to have to start prioritizing what is important to do, and be prepared to work at any time you have a chance to.I am lucky that my work allows for me to "flex" hours.

I do work from 7am to 3pm, get home for after nap daddy/daughters time, this last to bedtime, then back to work again from 8:30pm to 2-3-ish.

Only way to make it work is to get the kid(s) on schedule early and NEVER deviate from it.
