TB, Mata's an old friend who recently reconnected with me. She works for a government intelligence-gathering agency. She's married, but living in a different state than her husband and the marriage is supposedly on its way out.

The reason I won't date both her & my old flame from HS is that I really like Mata and want to see where it can go. Plus, I just don't have the chops these days to juggle two women - especially when one's a spy and the other has been known in the past to have a jealous streak.

I think Mata & I are going to Mexico in April. I wanted to go sooner (this winter can already eat a bag of dicks), but she wants to roll it into a birthday present for me so April it is.

Krista, I was showing her pics of Paloma and her second comment (after "wow, that's beautiful") was - stop me if you've heard this one before - "THERE'S A POOL IN THE ####### LIVING ROOM!". We toyed with going to Granada in April but she a) wants a "beachy/pampered" vacation this go-round, and b) needs to get clearance from her employer before traveling out of the country. Apparently, she has permanent clearance to go to Mexico but has to apply for Nica and, since it's not work-related, it takes awhile. So, she's applied for Nicaragua and we may do a late fall trip to Paloma if you still have the place then - or are not living there again

You know you're always welcome to stay there if it's otherwise unoccupied. Just give me some advance warning; it can take a while to find tarps in Nicaragua.

I told her I'd be there around 10:30 to help reassure her that everything would be Oktoberfest and to keep her from going berserk on them. I get there and her room is empty because they decided to take her down an hour and a half early.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with her freaking out on them, becoming combative, oh and losing her mind enough that she kept insisting that she didn't have two sons (the nurse met us both yesterday).

One of my roles in the current firm is marketing, which often includes taking sources of prospective clients out to lunch, drinks, etc.

At every meeting, I am reminded that I need to be doing this at least a couple times a week.

Every time I put one of these on my firm card, I turn in a receipt saying who I took. Every single time, usually two months later, I get an email from the owner's wife demanding to know what all of my credit card charges are for.
